05/1/2020 16:20 | I get live uninterrupted prices elsewhere. As I have a meaningful job and active social life I rarely have the time or the inclination to post on here 10+ times a day. It’s not a big part of my life as it clearly is with some others. Perhaps the order book tools are useful for some traders, but I’m more a long term holder. | dr biotech
05/1/2020 14:00 | Hello Dr Biotech I see you are still bumming a free ride You should consider the benefits of an upgrade and contribute to the running costs of this web site | johnwise
05/1/2020 13:26 | Problem is you can't ban the biggest offender on here - JW posts drivel 24/7. Not only does he spend his life reading the mail/express or watching youtube (there's a good video of trump saying Obama is looking to stir Iran as he can't negotiate and is doing badly domestically LOL) but he also posts meaningless links about local barclays branches. He can't seem to understand what is relevant and what isn't. Then you have Portside who spends his life in spoons, and calls anyone that doesn't agree with his moronic views scum etc. If we could remove these two the forum would become much more on topic and be of more than passing interest (I probably flick through this thread once every few weeks) - I'm sure there are more than a few lurkers on here who don't post, simply as any rare posts of interest (thank you Bernie) are drowned out in a sea of moronic guff. | dr biotech

05/1/2020 12:01 | Anger as taxpayers forced to fund £1bn help for struggling high streets: 'We paid to bail out the banks, don't make us pay to save towns they desert It was just one of five banks – including an HSBC, Barclays and NatWest – to pull the plug on Bungay in the previous decade. | johnwise
05/1/2020 11:59 | Plans approved to turn former Barclays Northumberland bank into affordable homes Barclays closed its Wooler branch in November 2018, leaving the town without banking services, although this is set to change soon with the arrival of Newcastle Building Society. | johnwise

05/1/2020 11:22 | Ken it’s not the starting the forum it’s the work in moderating it! This mornings posting have shown however that there are a number of us quiet one’s out there who would like a ruthlessly on topic board to discuss BARC so I’m sure someone will start a new board. I bought into BARC about 2 months ago as I reoriented by holdings with a strong bias for dividend yield- although obviously BARC is no where near the top of that tree. BARC is about 10% of my portfolio and I’m thinking it could prove a long term hold- for me that’s 2 years plus. | dgbell7
05/1/2020 11:14 | Dgbell7 - What a good suggestion. Why don't you start one? If you let me have a link,I'll but it into the header so that people know where to find it. | kenbachelor
05/1/2020 11:14 | diku - depends upon the strike prices - you take both premiums (if it works out!). | alphorn
05/1/2020 11:00 | Alp...don't maintaining both bull and bearish positions cross each other out... | diku
05/1/2020 10:55 | I also have many filtered on this board. Barclays could well be a candidate for some form of corporate restructuring. (Maintain both bull and bearish positions). | alphorn
05/1/2020 10:52 | M1k3y1 I have filtered some of the worst offenders on here who rant off topic all the time but this is a very poor board for a very interesting company. We could do with a new forum well moderated. | dgbell7
05/1/2020 10:12 | This is a BARC forum isn't it ? | m1k3y1
