JayWood-It looks like they are getting a decent price given the fact they are not selling it all and retaining 20%,but the detail needs to be seen.I also do not like that there is only one bidder left in.
I will be buying back in here(if price allows it!!)but feel there are going to be better opportunities than today

Dissapointed did not make it to 165p but there will be another day tomorrow.
Hopefully the media and the brokers upgrades will lift the price tomorrow!

If the FTSE retraces tomorrow then it will be a bloodbath for BARC. Really disappointed with the performance today. I guess the market wanted APS.

jwe - in fairness regardless of what the FTSE et al are doing - there is a lot up in the air with regard to the ishares deal.
Now that it seems they are selling part but retaining the original company it's more like a manufacturere selling off one of its products instead of all.

However the bulls wish to portray this,it is an extremely disappionting day for BARC.With the FTSE up over 160, BARC are level.Do the bulls not think that with a market retracement that BARC will not decline(probably rapidly as has been the case in the last months).Those who have bought in today are foolish imo.There will be better opportunities

sirraman no experts here, try a paid BB or one that requires id (my view and the market is that its a good deal for Barclays but I've been wrong in the past)
