Sorry to hear that smurfy, I think a lot of traders are on the same boat. I have traded for years especially banks and I have never known such a bad year for long trades.

Well the bears are certainly winning.

My portfolio looks terrible, worst performance in years. Luckily I'm in several dividend paying stocks so just re-invest and sit tight.

Savogi speaks sense, we all know it, we've all rode the dead cat bounces along the way, that's what traders do. Some of us have been saying it for months now for obvious reasons. My illuminate contact said that EU indexes are going to get ripped even more over the coming months dragging the hell out of the banks. Tread carefully gentlemen.

I believe drinking too much coffee is better than drinking too much alcohol..Therefore due to easy money courtesy of the FED most investors have been drunk since 2009... Nearly everyone today believes "just like a drunken sailors" the ridiculous notion that the FED can "print money" forever and keep the market up forever is just a dream that will never come true.

Yes.. The investors are slowly waking up to the fact that the "Printing press" is not as effective as before, and sugar coating the figures and the days of effective disinformation in terms of the financial system are coming to an end.

There are two things you can guarantee on bulletin boards :

1) Half the punters will predict rises, half will predict falls.

2) Those that are lucky enough to get it right will crow about it.

I hope you guys took up that advised short trade on the DAX I told you about 2wks ago. It is getting killed along with EU banks for obvious reasons. More to come.Be aware long trades, realism is a hard knock on a walk home on a dark night. Good luck to all.

if you looked at the past barc chart there always seems to be a dip in mid December. then a general rise to results end Feb.

may be repeated, who knows. Anyway I bought some at 215 on the chance, which is close enough to the previous lows of 2014

A year or more's gains gone..
I bet there is some one out there who has managed to think up a good reason as to why this might have happened ????..no?
Simply programs reacting (over reacting) to other programs while the programers look on and wonder why its happening....well it is for no other reason then you programed it to happen you A holes !!!!!!

so much for Xmas rally...not this year.
all is finished, the shorters killed the goose so no more golden eggs.
The ftse is just above 6000 and might go below that.
All messed up this year , the economy in the country is screwed up with
the austerity measures.

We have finished as a country of prosperity.
