27/6/2016 10:04 | Bank of Ireland's British business accounted for £183 million, or 16 per cent, of profits last year. Its financial services joint venture with the British Post Office places its products in more than 11,000 branches. In April, the bank said a 7 per cent fall in sterling in the first quarter had hit the euro value of its sterling assets and liabilities, with customer loan volumes reducing to 81 billion in euro terms. "The decrease in the value of sterling accounted for c.3 billion of the movement in customer loan volumes," it said. The bank also held about 9 billion in British government bonds and other sterling assets that could take a pounding. Its other exposure is, of course, indigenous Irish firms exporting to Britain. This is not good news | lbo

21/6/2016 18:19 | Bang on with the co. Amazing story behind that trade. A friend of mine looked into the trade which we lost heavy on. He lost $20m believe it or not.(Edit he lost 15m of the 20m position he had)Two other friends of mine lost well over a million one of them losing over £3m stg. He found out there was insider trading going on of which we were on the losing side. It's an amazing story how he found out. Anyway we have been awarded $602m which will be divided up between a lot of people. Looks like the max per share will be $14.55. I can't believe it's 8 years since Nice bedtime reading. It still sticks in my gut but nice to get something back There is another case pending which they are looking for a further $2b from Cohen. | cat100
