WLF:

In a tight bull flag sitting right on top of the 200dma at 206p

Not far off until it breaks out IMO!

A break over 115p and it gets very bullish IMO

Below is my comment on SGP on May 4th.

Today it is breaking out over the crucial 350p mark!

SGP: 712p

This is looking to be potentialy bullish, but does really need to clear c750p before I would consider entering.RSI is at 50+ and MACD needs to cross over(fast through slow) for a bullish signal.....finals thursday!

Just came across this with the head line of "How to catch a falling knife".

I thought I would take time to read it as the saying "Dont try to catch a falling knife" meaning never try to guess the bottom of a steeply down trending share,Is way up there in my list of trading tips.I thought,by the end of reading it,the age old mystery of calling the bottom of a falling share would be explained as suggested in the title and it would help to make me a much better trader......Well it did'nt!

Basicaly in concentrates on the recent price movements of QPP as it has had a huge fall last week and to save youself losing 10 mins of your life that you will never get back I can sum up what it says for you now.....Are you ready for this?

The price of QPP may go down further or it may go up again!

Yep Well done Mr Strang and thanks for clearing up the fact that you actualy have no idea how to catch a falling knife or indeed which direction the price will move from here.

Minky:

alot of miners had a bull bounce last week off the back of strong figures coming out of the U.S.

Virtualy all the miners are still down trending below the 200 and 50 dma on the charts so at the moment there may just be a small relief rally, but the longer term out look wont become clear until the 50 dma is broken through then the 200dma.Base metals are over stocked with copper and iron being the most and the demand is down.

A short term trade may give you some return from here, but dont sit back on the investment because when the up trend hits that 50dma it could quite easily turn direction and start down again IMO.

Stock holder syndrome, or captureĀ–bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which investors express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors(investments), sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack down days from their investments for an act of hope.

Stock holder syndrome can be seen as a form of traumatic bonding which describes "strong emotional ties that develop between a person and a company/investment. One commonly used hypothesis to explain the effect of Stock holder syndrome is based on Freudian theory. It suggests that the bonding is the individual's response to trauma in becoming a victim. Identifying with the aggressor/investment/company is one way that the ego defends itself. When a victim believes the same values as the aggressor/investment/company, they no longer become a threat.

Battered-person syndrome is an example of activating the captureĀ–bonding psychological mechanism, as are military basic training and fraternity bonding by hazing.

MT:

TTG is looking well!

It did break over the 50dma and the MACD has properly crossed over from well into the -ve area.A break over c180p to tackle c200p me thinks!

FSJ I would not be inclined to enter atm as it has dropped onto the 50dma rather sharpish and looks that it may be experiencing a bit of rally fatique.

A drop through the 50 and the 200 dma could well be the target so best to monitor for the mo IMO.
