20/7/2018 10:36 | Chimers20 Jul '18 - 09:57 - 3067 of 3077 "I own several Cryptos and they are chugging along nicely as expected." Once again you refuse to give the name - why the reticence? We know Cryptos have nose dived since you started promoting them in December, when they were apparently the next best thing and that shares were dead. I recall you pumping Bango when it was around 250, saying it was a £10.00 share and that it was foolish not to fill your boots. When the price fell, you jumped out into the booming Crypto, which has now sunk. You are clearly very poor at timing! You jump on bandwaggons at the peak, and off in the trough. So tell us, what were those cryptos you lost your hard earned in? | egrid1
20/7/2018 10:28 | This is now just a clash of opinion so no point going in circles. As far as I can see the payment business is past inflection so will generate profits simply by carrying on as it is now, so I have no concerns there. We still haven't seen the product they intend to create using Audiens, but I'm excited to see what it is. I understand your scepticism on these and wish you luck with your other punts. We're all just trying to guess the right horse. Happy Friday all. | simonsaid1
20/7/2018 10:25 | Fool me once shame on you. Fool me ..........what is it now 8 times? shame on me!! | chimers
20/7/2018 10:16 | Heh. With respect it's not about the Mercs in the garage. It's about new uses for them. Audiens had good data analysis and tools but it's all far more effective when combined with a popular high-spendthrough payment gateway like Bango, as there are more data gathering points and different types of available data. The 2 are worth more than the sum of their parts. Anyway, until they reveal the product they intend to launch with these together, we cannot say if the acquisition was good or bad for the long term growth of the company. We simply don't know yet. It certainly took me some time to get on board with, but upon reflection data insight makes perfect sense as a way to grow the business and the synergies with Audiens are evident. Fingers crossed for a near-term announcement on this. | simonsaid1
20/7/2018 10:12 | You mean more people who will require feeding. Yeah gluk with that. This model does not work ask Boku they will confirm. I refer you to my Garage post. Feel free to borrow it if your ever in need. | chimers
20/7/2018 10:04 | Profit from the payment system is simply a matter of time, given they have already crossed the inflection point and merely need to keep up what they're currently doing to reach that point. It's a very small extrapolation and one I'm comfortable with, if you're not fair enough. Audiens will be used to create an enhanced data product and there is huge money in insights. It's a natural bedfellow to a payment business and makes sense for them to pursue, especially given its algorithm-based and Bango is based in Cambridge, flush with tech grads. | simonsaid1
20/7/2018 09:59 | They are clutching at straws. | chimers
20/7/2018 09:59 | The only reason the bought Audiens is because it has become apparent that they wont make a single red cent in profit with their payment systems. | chimers
20/7/2018 09:57 | We have been over all of this the last time you started crying. David Sonstebo (founder of IOTA) tried to sue me and failed It was well documented in the mainstream media at the time. I own several Cryptos and they are chugging along nicely as expected. As for me not knowing about Bango lol. I invested in it and I made a very decent profit "simon" can confirm twas he who convinced me to take a punt. Since then it has taken a very sinister turn off which I have made very public. In terms that you can grasp IT STINKS. And I am not the only one who thinks this. | chimers
20/7/2018 09:55 | If Bango were prepared to acquire Audiens and pay off its development loans, one must ask why. Ray didn't buy it for a laugh. It's pretty clear we'll see an advanced data product (either as an additional service to current customers or a new service selling insights) using Audiens's data. Why else buy it and take on the significant debt pile? You simply cannot talk about the debt without asking why it was worth it to them. If you look at Bango Boost, their first data product, it's clear they have long-held ambitions to monetise the data they collect through EUS. In today's RNS, where they talk about the sweetheart rates being given to some new contracts, the following line stood out to me: 'Bango technology enables data generated from EUS to improve marketing effectiveness for customers, generating additional revenue for Bango.' In other words, we need EUS because we need data. And data products like this are almost 100% straight to the bottom line, because they simply require the building out of the systems to capture and analyse the data, and then more-or-less run themselves. If it's done right, it's a license to print money, and that's why there is a huge rush to monetise data insights across the tech industry and has been for a number of years. Watch this space. The purpose of the Audiens acquisition has yet to be revealed but the direction of travel is extremely clear. | simonsaid1
20/7/2018 09:54 | Another update from Bango and they have not disappointed. FWIW I estimate (back of envelope based on previous trends)that they will be marginally profitable in H2 and I expect a loss for the year of around £1.8m, then a profit of £5.3m in 2019. After that, the numbers get silly pretty quickly if you extrapolate exponential growth. All this for £113m market cap. I wouldn't want to be short. Looking at cash burn: Opening cash 4,847 Placing 5,000 Audiens acquisition (1,300) Audiens services (say 6/12) (275) Total 8,272 less closing cash (5,800) Cash burn H1 2,472 Being roughly a loss for H1 of around £2.1m and capitalised re Audiens of £0.3m I guess. | leading
20/7/2018 09:32 | It has a lot of "on the up" to go before it reaches the giddy heights where you started punting it last December... Another 100%+ to go! You never divulged which crypto you were pushing, though your hints suggested at IOTA, which you have denied... So come clean, if it has done so well, which one were you pushing, and we can then test that against your previous hints and claims. | egrid1
