Why only "sit tight for 300p", if "people buying now should manage 50% on their investment" - Wouldn't it be better to wait for the higher ramparoonies?

Quite the dip. People buying now should manage 50% on their investment if they hold for results. May top up come payday.

Even though its a big drop today its probably just profit taking. I am not going to take any off the table because if the potential is realised then we are talking about a multi billion dollar company. share price could be 10 20 50 times its current level within ten years and so I am not going to be tempted by this once in a lifetime opportunity. My average purchase price is less than a pound so would need a big fall to make a loss.

I don't have the stones to try to trade this, going to sit tight for 300p. Will miss seeing 140% next to it on my broker for a spell though!

The capacity of your average bank account is probably over US$5bn too. So good news all round

The fact that we are profitable from here onwards and that the capacity is already proven at US$5B we don't need the money for operational / development reasons so any placing would be used for M & A's which would only result in increased EUS, further market domination and increased share price

bring it on

Shame you had to put such a negative spin on such a fantastic article. Don't short Bango, you will lose.

Amazing to see mainstream tech press writing about Bango now. Very exciting times ahead and cannot wait to see what happens next. More Amazon contracts expected, and move to profitability imminent, both of which will cause further rerates.

Investors Chronicle companies and markets podcast. Easiest to find via mobile. If you have an iPhone then use iTunes or the built in Podcast app to download it. On Android use the podcast app of your choice, most should find it from their built-in search function (I use PocketCasts).

simonsaid1, please advise which podcast for the ST comments you've referred to, or the date. Found them on the new website ok, and used Chrome to play as IE would not. Tried two of them but no ST. Thanks.

Bango and IQE (not a simon thompson one) are two that I can see being enormous in 5 or 10 years time. Not intending to sell either for a long time as they are both on the verge of massive profitability, with the bulk of the capex done.

Yes I think this will be one of his best years ever. He also spoke glowingly of FPO which I recently sold to buy more UKOG, but I will be going back in.

Sorry for going off-topic but I imagine most Bango investors are ST followers (Thompsonites!). Bango is the most successful share I've ever held and I only knew about it from him. I'm up >130% so far but now looking like it can do the same again, quite astonishing what can happen when a company invests in setup (£30m in Bango's case) for a business with ultra-low opex and future capex needs. This was a very good long play which is now coming good.

I think when profitability is reached (which may have happened already, will find out in next update as we're on the brink) this will attract more institutional cash and rocket forward. A main-market FTSE listing would be appropriate in future to let the funds in. This business is the very definition of 'operationally geared'.

Simonsaid - simon thompson (on the podcast) could hardly have been less gushing about FPROP or MITON either. Which is nice as I hold all three. Good time to be paying attention to ST right now.

I think it might be good time now to review THIS: hxxps://bangoinvestor.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/bango-strategy-day-300117.pdf

THIS seesm to me to show that BANGO had big plan - and any idea that they are just some payment gateway or low value is mistaken. Notice How they see many value from PLATFORM and especially getting lot of value from data for people and also from new board member Giovanni the Italian.

AND ALSO hxxps://news.bango.com/2017/01/26/bango-boost-version-2-released/
is on that line about sale of data to play developres.

I think that idea of 1000p-2000p is correct

On the podcast it was nice hearing Simon Thompson, who is generally pretty reserved, actually sound like he was having trouble talking through his own grinning and pride at having made such a good call with Bango and trying to indicate his massive optimism for it without sounding unprofessional!

Becomes another big tick in his box for foresight. This is the same man who predicted the last recession, and beats the market every year. He is re-iterating Bango on IC almost every week now in one way or another, clearly very much believes in this company.
