11/5/2022 15:55 | Daily Telegraph featured Fund of the Week .... "There are stocks in the portfolio that have fallen by 60pc-70pc over the past 12 months, but if you look at what they have done operationally, a lot are still growing at 40pc-50pc and continue to invest for future growth. This is both challenging and exciting for us, because you don’t see such low valuation multiples very often. For example, many stocks in the portfolio have sold off so aggressively that they are trading on less than one or 1.5 times “price-to-sale These are multiples you would associate with mature, steady growth businesses, not those growing at 40pc-50pc a year. This is potentially a once in a decade buying opportunity, but it is challenging when day in, day out these stocks are selling off – and there is no fundamental reason why."... | spangle93
03/2/2022 20:19 | A lot more tech in here than I had appreciated....I guess another red day tomorrow. Good buying opportunity coming up ..... | 8w
19/10/2021 08:06 | BGS presentation coming up with Kepler on November 4th Hopefully they can inject a little optimism after a pretty lacklustre 12 months | spangle93
19/1/2021 17:38 | Down to a small NAV premium of 3% which looks a fair entry point | gopher
14/11/2020 08:23 | With NAV around 240p it's trading at close to 10% premium! Versus usual trading at a small discount Share price moving in advance of NAV rises, or time for trading in for a profit? | spangle93
25/9/2020 21:23 | Probably just because Buffet has gone into Japan so it is being noticed | merrimac
24/9/2020 17:34 | Now 20% in a month | spangle93
15/9/2020 20:57 | Whether it's as a result of the new guy at the top in Japan or not it's been a good September, with more than 10% rise in share price so far. | spangle93
28/8/2020 22:57 | I thought there would be more Abe reaction here. | jfinvestments
20/3/2020 10:14 | Current discount to Nav is 12% | darryn1
24/2/2020 09:28 | Hard hats at the ready. | psync
21/2/2020 09:23 | Would a sell-off in US markets contribute to the price decline here? This is my worst performing IT over the last 6 months and while I'm happy to top-up to maintain exposure to the sector, I'd rather top-up while it's on the way up, rather than the way down. Feels like there could be continued selling pressure if US indices decide to return to their 150 or 200 day moving averages any time soon. Global equities have had a great run of late. | psync
18/2/2020 11:11 | Now on a 5% discount. Definitely not flavour of the month any more! Wonder if we'll get a bounce from 160 again? | mpjsb1
25/7/2019 14:51 | Virtually no premium any more. | mpjsb1
29/4/2019 07:42 | Sounds really positive....this fund needs to get moving ahead....but no doubt it will be slow as there were a couple of company mentions around the lines of: forgoing profits this year for future growth. Ever since they did the split it has been flat. | merrimac
26/4/2019 19:58 | Short video from the fund manager. | yupawiese2010
21/8/2018 18:29 | It's quite easy, the extra funds diluted what's out there so reducing the value hence share drop BUT the extra cash could help drive up returns if invested wisely so hold on. | apage
20/8/2018 18:49 | So no one could explain it...he he he...thankfully my light bulb has just gone on and I have realised that through issuing new equity they are realising a portion of the premium in cash and hopefully are buying more assets (with this new money) meanwhile growing the size of the fund and thus lowering the cost per unit (also reducing the dividend per unit as a downside). Hmmm, hope I have it right...it suits my brain anyway. | merrimac
08/8/2018 14:09 | I have tried to understand this constant issue of New equity but I just can't - there is little to explain it available on my google searches. For BGS it doesn't seem to be helping the trust's listed price???? Does anyone have a good link or more simple/broader explanation that provided in the post previously. Many thanks. | merrimac
16/6/2018 14:24 | Sorry, issues still taking place | cleopatrax
16/6/2018 14:18 | Thanks pj but I had assumed that the size of the share price premium itself would do that, but it looks to me that over 10 issues and the 1 for 10 over the last month or so has taken the shine off the share. From a premium drop from 15 to 5 and splits still taking place, I'm still asking why? BGS is one of my worst 6 month performers, and I can't just put it down to Japan. | cleopatrax
15/6/2018 09:48 | Rising price has cleared the £2 mark. Thats > £10 ps before May's share split | wtacraig1
11/6/2018 11:04 | Decent rise here today so far | scottishfield |
