BAE Systems has successfully completed the management and delivery of planned overseas support for the UK’s Carrier Strike Group 21 (CSG21). The carrier group sailed from the UK in May and has been supported by BAE Systems throughout its deployment.

BAE Systems engineers and technicians have overseen the maintenance of aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, Type 45 destroyers HMS Defender and HMS Diamond, and Type 23 frigates HMS Kent and HMS Richmond, in a number of countries along the route of CSG21.

The U.S. Army, on Aug. 24, 2021, has awarded BAE Systems an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide life-cycle sustainment and technical support to the Limited Interim Missile Warning System (LIMWS) program. The 10-year contract has a ceiling value of $872 million.

It should, given a fair wind, return to £2.50 plus in time - very much imv only.

And also assumes the COVID outlook continues to gradually improve.

Yes, I have Melrose. Very difficult company to value and on the odd occasion, like Melrose, I look at other quantitative data and qualitative data to try and make an informed opinion. I've bought on the fact they have an excellent track record (personal values aside) and strong grasps of some of their end markets. The fact it is almost all GKN (which I used to hold) and believe they can improve margins makes me an investor. I particularly think their Powder Metallurgy division has good future prospects.

By-the-way, I hold Boeing too, not BAE, because I believe it has more to grow into.

Slightly off topic, does anyone like Melrose MRO?.

I am very bullish on Melrose on a 2/3 year view, unless some other
troubling COVID variant arrives and causes mass reinfections.

If you look at some of the US listed defence companies, their SP's peaked
around April/May this year and have underperformed wider markets over the last 3/4 months.
