16/7/2024 07:22 | I was expecting this to jump at least 10p on opening. What did it do ? It fell a few pence.Suits me, back in under 442. Now it seems to be getting some traction. I'm hoping to be in and out here with some small trades over the next few weeks if my expectation of a rerate back to 550 proves correct. | backmarker

16/7/2024 06:49 | Yes but what's the current PE here? | gswredland
16/7/2024 06:30 | Looks to be OK, revenue up, must presume margins maintained so profits increased.Big 1M buy just after close yesterday. What's that about ?Looks to me like we should be headed back towards 550. | backmarker
16/7/2024 06:22 | Well, they've done pretty good with seasonal | lennonsalive
12/7/2024 09:59 | Well, that's just stating the bleeding' obvious. With a business like BME and the way they run it it's all about like-for-like and in depth. Separating out the new stores from existing, UK from France, season with season. To be fair, the CEO did provide a lot of information at the last presentation. | backmarker
12/7/2024 06:30 | Good article in IC today, but gives a lot of concerns re like for like figures which they say need to be the focus in next week’s announcement | cestnous
10/7/2024 07:56 | We seem to be bottoming out, though 440 level doesn't appear to be historically significant.Shouldn' | backmarker
03/7/2024 15:35 | The SHOE ZONE profit warning did mention freight costs from China, but it also mentioned weak sales of Spring/Summer lines April to June due to unseasonal weather, and about a weak ago it mentioned a cyber incident. So a heap of woes! | bigbertie1
03/7/2024 11:42 | 25% down in a month. Can things really be that bad ? | backmarker
02/7/2024 21:45 | a vast amount of product comes from china (sadly) from screws to toys, all the seasonal stuff would as well | nakedmolerat
02/7/2024 21:32 | Fozzyb , I think you are right , the average 40ft shipping container transport cost was $1474 a year ago ,but $5318 now. That is almost a quadrupling .Even worse , Shanghai to Rotterdam , the nearest published port , went up almost six-fold. I don't know how much stock comes from China , but there must be a serious hit on the bulky low value items. | wad collector
02/7/2024 10:30 | Sainsbury's hit as wet weather dampens Argos sales | nakedmolerat
02/7/2024 07:40 | Yeap. £3.90 calling at some stage. | bulltradept
02/7/2024 06:58 | Just look at the profit warning from SHOE Zone this morning that mentions it | lennonsalive
01/7/2024 08:01 | Freight costs high. Expect some comments towards this in next financial statement and this may be hurting the sentiment right now | fozzyb
30/6/2024 10:09 | Interesting to see whee the bottom is 350 would be great! | gswredland
28/6/2024 15:13 | If this is a shakeout it seems to be working as the share price continues to fall. This feels a bit like GLEN earlier in the year. It fell and fell for a while then turned tail and moved up for 100 points.I'm hoping this will do the same. | backmarker
27/6/2024 07:55 | I think the concerns over the late summer weather, people are waiting for the next update to see if there was an impact | lennonsalive
25/6/2024 18:11 | But look at the way this is falling in price. Don't understand why. The estate is growing. The Wilko customers must be shopping somewhere. Business growing in region of 10%+ in a normal year. That's just the bare bone highlights. There is a bargain to be had post ex div. | scobak
24/6/2024 21:52 | Yeah forgot about that , and no ISA provider will chase it . | wad collector
