Some profit takers moving in now or else it is being walked down. A very strange share in terms of share price movement as it is quite volatile despite its large mcap.

315p paid today. Starting to push on now. 309.75 the norm for an ask. I expect some buying in the run up to the IMS on Friday.Hopefully BME will have thrived where Tesco and the other major players have floundered.

Ok fair enough Phil. Two weeks to the interim statement. I expect us to be at 320p.I might exit myself at that price. Hopefully we will get some positioning in the run up and a spike on the results. 300p is proving resistance for now.

Might be good timing Phil as it has been buffeted today,. I think though that this is just being walked down again. I expect a rebound to 300p in short order. Tesco and M and S seem to have performed poorly and this may be good news for B and M as shoppers flock to other value players and discounters.

Very nice buying now and 300p being paid. A key resistance I would have thought before we motor on to 320p. In the event of a good xmas being reflected in the January trading statement then we should be set fair for a good start to 2015.

Poking its ahead above 280p again. 287p seems to be a figure that crops up before it retraces. Don't know if any of you saw in the Daily Mail the B and M delivery lorry which had jacknifed in the snow. I thought it was going to be bad news story at first but fortunately was just routine.

'Investment Extra'

B&M Retail

This Woolworths-style discount chain sells toys, furniture and food, mainly in the North West. Former Tesco boss Sir Terry Leahy is chairman. It floated at 270p and has nudged up to 277p. Run by the three Arora brothers, who have grown B&M in seven years from 21 discount stores with a turnover of £65million to 300 with a £1billion turnover.

They have already made £380million selling a 60 per cent stake to private equity. The firm is domiciled in Luxembourg, Leahy’s stake in the firm is held through a fund registered in the tax-friendly Cayman Islands, and B&M has been linked with a UK factory allegedly using immigrants forced to work 80 hours a week for 'pennies'. The business is only worth an investment if the principals remain committed.

Hi Phil, good spot and hopefully just a minor blemish. Primark has been tainted for many years by sweatshops in Bangladesh without too much impact on the parent company's share price I too am struggling with the share price It seems to be walked down before rebounding. Strange how this an happen with a 2.5bn mcap as you say. I think though it is primed for breakout and a good trading statement for the xmas period in January should move this towards 290p.
