Methinks this share has a jinx. On the very day it appeared we might have a plus the FTSE takes a dive. Will it be plus at 4.35?

I agree, if the yanks who have a 'can do philosophy' cannot make it work what makes us think we can.

Ashtead AHT is a good example.Share price before buying into the US 200p now it is 60p.

Milacs.56% appears too good..I reckon it is over 60%. Of course you could say that it should never have been as high as it wasin the first place.
I suppose if a sizable proportion of their business is in the US that is not exactly in their favour at present with the decline in the dollar. I have never had any success with UK. companies buying business,s in the US. In fact one or two have been complete disasters though I'm not including Axon in that.
Could it be that we will not see any improvemaent until the Dollar recovers. Can we wait that long? After the tech bubble burst it took two/three years before there was any real recovery.

Come on guys down 56% in five months is some achievement.

Any excuse from our management?

Surely a RNS is due outlining the reasons for such a massive fall.

RE Directors. Not much chance of them buying any sizable quantity if they can get them for nothing! Another dismal performance to=day. OK I suppose if you don't own them!

Unfortunately at the moment for those who have held on to this share it is the share from hell!. You can,t even get a plus from it when tha FTSE goes up 200/300points.

Once the US reinstate the bull market which will occur very soon - then smaller caps and IT will be back in fashion. There is no evidence that Axon's growth has slid.

Market PE's are at a very low point ( UK about 12 against a market average 18 and a peak circ. 30 in 2002/3). Predictions are that Corporate profit growth will continue to grow but a a reduced rate which will hold up the PE.

Once confidence is regained and it is realised that the credit problems are not really effecting the main market. Off we will go -FTSE will exceed 7000 and Axon will again spread wings and fly.

Ref. Share incentive scheme March 2005

This was noted on this board back in March and Wilmdav checked it out. Please see his conclusion below:

Quote --

No... See Note 28 of 2005 Annual report.

Options were not granted until 12/10/05. Excerciseable between 12/10/08 and 11/10/11. Price has to average 250% of 200p (450p) over 20 days prior to excercise.

Something to be aware of in October but can't see excutives rushing to sell if price remains around current level.

No wonder the price has fallen.

Anyone with this info would have shorted prior to Mar 3 knowing that AXO employees would certainly be selling their incentivised shares.

How much filthy lucre did you make?0-)

In fact you could have bought in Feb when the price was below 500 knowing that the price would be raised above this level to fulfil the requirements, then shorted on Friday the 29th of Feb to maximise profits on the up and down.

What a wheeze.

The directors gave their own shares to their staff to incentifise them.not sure how the mechanics work, only know it was three years ago in march.could
be just a coincident!!! have a look yourself, just go into the historical news on this page.go back to the 05 yr end results.

Fieldhouse. Did the directors get these shares free. If they were exercised shouldn't they have been reported?

Have been looking back at the historical news.In march 2005 the founding Axon
directors placed in an Executive reward scheme 4.9 million shares.Option to be
exersised in three years time provided the share price had risen 150% ie £5

5th march 08,exersisable date, share price tanks QED

Yes I can,t see any real signs of good newa anywhere and all the media reporting..a lot of which is unsubstantiated..doesn't help. Seems to me if company profits start to fall, which seems almost certain, there is only one way the shares can go. Incidently can anyone make sense of the Bid/offer spread at the close...another of he MM,s little tricks perhaps1
