I now hold. I hesitated over the last handful of weeks. I'd be prepared to stick with this even if it were to go to 400, for as long as the lowest broker target is 753 and the share price remains below any subsequent targets. It's a relatively simple business, they just need to avoid oCck-Ups and not under-charge for their products. |

Aberforth taking 5% is a good start imv and around 900p they must have paid.They must have done their DD.Doesn't look cheap on earnings projections of course but my hunch is a US buyer is possible.Both CEO and FD are ex Ultra - these guys know about M & A. |
The share price is quite high, even now. 50 quid of shares could rapidly become 25 quid & 50 quid per point spread bet could rapidly become -1250. The US order issue didn't help and look at the operating margin... It's woeful for a defence type company given that States pick up the bill. |
This is at its lowest point since October 22 with no positive action to drive the share price up. This so-called STAR STRATEGY. Is in my opinion just clever marketing with no substance and lacks time driven goals. It's just wishful thinking. 'Oh let's wish everything improves?' has not been bought by the city and why should they.ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. |

I do think there have been some signs of positivity in the last few RNS's along with orders coming in and buyers seemingly around at this price.
Defence should be in demand for some time to come you would think. This could be one positive RNS away from a decent jump |

The price of Avons shares have been in decline for some months and I think this week could be the time to buy. A buyer or buyer's has entered the market three times now around the 8 pound mark pushing the price higher.A number of defence companies announce results this week and I believe this will lift the sector |
What is disappointing for me is the lack of formal response to their share holders after the report hit the headlines.At best it's lazy and at worse it means they had no credible comeback to the allegations of poor management and are doing little to booster invested sentiment.Likely to hit 800p as some one is pushing the price lower.
