10/8/2010 13:40 | LG - of course it has some bearing, but for the canny investor stupid short-term decisions by others provide opportunities. On a dcf basis AV.B are crassly overbought versus GACA. | skyship
10/8/2010 13:34 | ex div tomorrow | mac15
28/7/2010 17:12 | That depends on how close the next ex-div date is, SKYSHIP. | lord gnome
28/7/2010 13:50 | Flat yield on GACA @ 110.5 = 8.03% Flat yield on AV.A @ 112.0 = 7.81% Flat yield on GACB @ 104.75 = 7.52% Flat yield on AV.B @ 112.75 = 7.43% Does rather suggest that GACA is disproportionately cheap - so I've added a few! | skyship
16/4/2010 12:23 | Interest Rates: Goldman Sachs vs. Everyone Else by: Streetwise Blog April 14, 2010 | envirovision
18/3/2010 11:41 | Quite - all rather bizarre. Having bt in just recently @ 103p, I decided to take the turn at 108.25p and await events. Topped up my IERP for an 8.9% yield with the half-yearly pay date on 31st May. No XD date announced yet, so could be anytime in the next 4weeks. | skyship
18/3/2010 11:06 | The fall of these for no reason to 100, on little volume has been followed by a rise back up (for no reason and on little volume). Gaca, Av.a have hardly moved over same period. Maybe MMs have linked prices to the tides on some unknown planet. | mac15
12/3/2010 19:09 | Last price was about 55p. | tiltonboy
11/3/2010 07:38 | Ah! - indeed, as you explained here: "Callable in 2020 at par, thereafter 340bp over the 10 year gilt. Maturity 2030." Thnx. | skyship
10/3/2010 22:59 | Sky..ta for reminding me of tht website...i c BOI issue is offering 12%..not tempted :) | badtime
10/3/2010 18:44 | SKY, Stepped in so much the coupon changes on it not being called. | tiltonboy
10/3/2010 18:15 | Hmm...50k blows me out..10k wud hav been ok..small beer for tilts :) | badtime
10/3/2010 17:55 | Hmmm - 50k @ 72.5p - may be a little lop-sided in my portfolio - 2009 was a fantastic year, but not that fantastic!! Might have gone for 25k, but not 50k. Incidentally, what is a "Stepped Pref."? | skyship
10/3/2010 16:14 | SKYSHIP, Try XS0237631097 It is a 6.625% Stepped Pref. Callable in 2020 at par, thereafter 340bp over the 10 year gilt. Maturity 2030. Minimum lot size 50K, so no problem for you...lol... tiltonboy | tiltonboy
10/3/2010 16:03 | Badtime /Tilts 1. Try Old Boy's spreadsheet - link below: 2. Also unable to find BRE Prefs. Not mentioned here on ADVFN, the official BRE website or the above spreadsheet - so presumably another bond rather than a listed pref. Would appreciate clarification Tilts as it sounds like value... | skyship

09/3/2010 21:30 | Thanks for that Skyship In the last 2/3 weeks sold ELLA and AV.B as I want to reduce my perpetual interest rate risk. Have the IERE pref's as am a IERE shareholder so got them in the last restructuring and the F and C P E Zeros I bought the Friends Provident 6.292 last april because of the call. Will be pleasantly surprised if we get paid out but wanted to be able to switch to a Libor basis. | cerrito
09/3/2010 21:17 | yep me too im in for the long haul with them, i had to pay stamp duty on them and could never figure out why but hmmm I know pearl has warrants but never knew about prefs, what is the symbols and/or isn's to find out more about them? | envirovision
09/3/2010 20:42 | enviro, Still in FP, and got a nice capital profit as well. On the Resolution front, has anyone looked at the Pearl Prefs? Any thoughts welcome. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
09/3/2010 20:27 | ....and dont forget 85UG Friends Provident 6.292% Bonds for 71p which yeild 8.8%. It has also got a call date, so perhaps some chance of capital gain as well but since its a bond no capital gains tax to pay if it does. | envirovision |
