@ brummy_git.... All your posts end with "all the details here". Where is "here" exactly? On my device at least the word "here" isn't a link ?!

I agree but I found the reasons for undertaking the amalgamation a little bit perplexing.

yes, use of word "mature" seems to indicate that.

Magnetica distributor signed up for North America. Product well received at exhibition. Fantastic news. The this part of the business currently valued at nill point by this pathetic market.

Options @£3.9 not exercisable for 3 years from grant date. This looks a fair deal, not like some companies that just take the mick and want shares for nothing. This sets a good precedent that Other Aim companies would do well to take notice of

I don't think there's any need for a placing unless they acquire another business. They may even sell something over the next 12-18 months.

Earwacks,

I presume you meant HS2 cancellation? Whilst it's correct to say all Booths current HS2 orderbook is for the 1st phase of the contract the extension of the line would have in all likelyhood provided further orders to Booths. This would have provided better visibility into the future and enhanced the value of the business on sale (which I thought was perhaps the most likely next business to be sold).

The problem AVG may encounter regards valuation is that on the surface the financial forecasts have gone backwards because of the increased investment required in Magnetica and Adaptix. So to anyone valuing the business on a PE basis (incorrect way in my view) it looks much more expensive than previously. (adj eps reduced from 21.9p to 2.8p).

I'd suggest it's more sensible to value on a sum of parts valuation of the subsidiaries.

Thanks for your support and comments here chaps. Not bought back yet. We all seem fairly happy that operationally the company is going up so it’s odd the share price is travelling down. Perhaps AVG is just a victim of the general market selling and drift in UK small caps as MMs try to find buyers lower down. As ever will SPs turn without notice and I guess the AVG share price is just news driven. Still here but not yet if you know what I mean. GLA.

steve3sandal - Your hope for sub £4 acquisition has been realised for some time now - the latest buy price is £3.60. Might be best to wait a while though as this could fall lower if the current trend continues.

S3S - further to your enquiry about the boxes for nuclear waste storage, they are as has been said 3m cubed boxes. They are manufactured of double skinned stainless steel with concrete in between they also I believe have a unique way of being sealed. When the Sellafield contract first started a couple of years ago the boxes were priced at approx £35k each and would be stacked to a maximum of 4 high.

They've appeared to takeover Adaptix on very advantageous terms so also looking forward to the 3D x-ray system which is running ahead in the development cycle compared to the MRI scanner.

Thank you both. I was hoping they weren’t encasing the whole plant. I’m largely hoping to buyback under £4 as I’m cheap, just have to be patient and keep my fingers crossed. The portable MRI scanner opportunity they have built looks very interesting and very AVG.

The other contract for £3m appears to be with Magnox to supply the internals for a Concrete Nuclear waste box.

s3s, welcome back! Today's contract news is an extension of the work that Metalcraft has undertaken for a few years now, making 3m cubed steel containers for nuclear waste. Interestingly, it states that one is a new contract and the other an extension to an existing contract, so Metalcraft is becoming a trusted supplier in the nuclear space for these boxes.

Previous holder but the recent results and the waxing lyrical of serial winner Christopher Mills (NAS, ORYX)has brought AVG back on my dashboard. Paul Hill also very keen I see.
Can anyone describe what these new concrete boxes for nuclear plants, announced today, look like? I’m struggling to comprehend what they might be getting into. Also, do we know what happened to the firm who previously did concrete boxes? Many thanks.
