Regarding Hylas 3 the following statement doesn't actually fill you with confidence

"Harper, Avanti’s CEO at the time of the financial report, said the company was “considering all options,” of recourse for the still-grounded payload.
Bestwick declined to explain what those options are, but said they stem from “contractual remedies” linked to anticipated revenue that Avanti hasn’t been able to produce."

Sounds as though Avanti hadn't paid up

Excellent article with David Bestwick on spacenews.com - if I wasn't such a technophobe I would put up the link. There is still a faint glimmer of hope for a recovery for the optimists among us.....

It would be nice if they'd paid for the satellite... They still owe orbital $40m according to this:https://advanced-television.com/2018/04/10/avanti-issues-worrying-warning/I can't believe they let them launch it without getting all the money, is that normal?

Deja Vu - haven't we already had one debt for equity swap, or is this it? After the swap I estimate the company will have a market cap of £100 m. They could raise £50m on the basis of 1 for 2. But still some substantial outstanding debt will remain.

They have a brand new satellite in orbit that cost, what £400m? which might reflect some value left for a punt? But it depends upon future revenue and cash flow to pay costs and debt. I sold months ago as the bond holders will walk off with most of what is left.

It's certainly worth a punt - I bought in last week at 4.9p, but only for a few hundred quid. If all the immediate funding is completed, then the stock should bounce back to 9p-10p, and then I'm out. I certainly have no interest in being a long term holder in this one!

So Caledonia was the big seller in the background, sold at leat 0.82% but potentially their entire 3.8% holding which would be about 6m shares

It would instill some confidence if they could fill out an RNS release properly the first time around, without having to release a second clarification, twice...

As I said anyone looking at AVN should look at how similar more established companies have done in the USA

This type business gobbles up cash

Hence debt is the end result

You might have to if you were the CTO or CFO? Or then again... The new CEO doesn't seem to be bothered - he's still in South Africa according to linkedin!

why would I subscribe at 11p when I can buy the shares at 5.5p

Recent events leading up to now, satellite launch, d/e swap, open offer of shares ("please buy our new shares at 11.22p....by the way the company is soon going into liquidation!"??)Africa business development strategy etc. do not suggest to me a company that has thrown the towel in. I think that the hard hitting rns was issued with a strong regulatory bias, to be seen to be transparent and playing by the rules. Arguably the insiders, who have huge amounts at stake here, have already sorted the immediate funding issues mentioned, which is totally dependent on all resolutions being passed by shareholders......hence the big stick...
I own shares at an average price of 8.5pish.
IMO it's worth a punt......

The CTO and CFO have refused to subscribe in full, expect resignations shortly, lol... I'm sure they will be thanked for their years of service, just like the old CEO was!

So you think that hedge funds announce their intention to throw money at "lost causes" in order to save face!?!?......."yes, we know that it's a loser but we don't want you to think that we're stupid, so we're going to throw some more money at it".......

Zap.......You are indeed...... a cretin!!

No, probably just restructure the debt and leave equity holders with nothing...good call here mate, you must be an investment genius.

You're quite right.....but a fat lot of good that's done for PRM shareholders, as you full well know.....ask any of them and just look at the share price ...
