How many shares will be in issue when this is done and dusted. And how much debt will remain?

PRM hasn't racked up debts of £100m's and has a Sugar Daddy chairman to support it!

Time will tell... won't it, and we shouldn't have too long to wait either..........unlike the death by a billion cuts that PRM shareholders have been suffering since 2004.........

#1084,
If it isn't a done deal, nobody will be buying, so not much risk there! I'm never that convinced by Directors' buys at the best of times - it smacks of a bit of PR and the need to show 'confidence' - but this looks like a bit of window-dressing. Walsh (pay and benefits last year almost £200k) is putting in a mighty £6147 and largest Director shareholder Bestwick (paid nearly £500k) would have to find £34796 if he took up his whole entitlement but has only committed to taking "part".

Fwiw.... bought a few today and the market has overdone the share price drop. The open offer is at 11.22p......Yes a hard nosed RNS which has squeezed shares out of nervous shareholders, but ongoing events support the notion that this company will survive, imo.

Guys - glad you are still keeping the thread going after NFDS were sold and good to see you posting your progress.

One you may like to cast your eyes over from a chart perspective that looks to have bottomed out and broken out is Avanti (AVN) which is 340p now. If it moves up then there is a gap to 430-440p levels (20% profit). Brokers all have buy notes with values of £8 to over £20. Maybe worth checking out, but please DYOR as always. I have an average entry position of 269p.

Skinny - so true. Hopefully will now finally underpin shareprice.
AVN tip I mentioned - now up over 9%. Expect > 400p by end of the week. Am willing to eat humble pie, but lets see whether this happens or not. Buywell, trust you do a little more research.

Chart to retest previous lows soon ?

And some idiots were ramping these on other boards years back at over 300p

Normally issuance is the first steps insolvency. Not a good sign for shsreholders in my opinion. Seen this far too many times and in every occasion it's the shareholders that get screwed. Good luck all the remain.

Nothing has changed, nothing in this announcement is anything we did not already know. It is phrased in a hard way to make sure that No-one objects to the deal, and I am quite certain that they would not have gone through this hellishly expensive and complex nightmare without having adequate backstop financing available.

Ask yourself the question: WHy are Chairman Paul Walsh and the Directors ALL subscribing for Shares in the Open offer at 11.55p if they think there is a potentially bad outcome around the corner ?

There is not. With a cleaned up balance sheet this company will get acquired for up to 32p per share, probably by Viasat who just pulled out of their long mooted EUTELSAT JV for EMEA coincidentally hours after the successful launch of HYLAS 4, or Inmarsat who would want to stop Viasat getting access to Spectrum with which they could become a fierce competitor.

I think the prospect of VIASAT being able to enter the EMEA market will worry Inmarsat, eUTELSAT, Arabsat, SES et al. Viasat are aggressive and they will be a tougher competitor than Avanti. They do not have spectrum licenses in EMEA and Avanti can give them that. I would not mind betting that if its real, others will try to stop Viasat from owning spectrum in EMEA, and the only way to do that is to buy Avanti

.........this is the bit that I like in the RNS....."HYLAS 4 will set the new standard of affordability, quality and flexibility to Internet Service Providers, Mobile Network Operators, Governments and other Satellite Operators."If indeed Hylas4 is competitive in all these areas they shouldn't have a problem undercutting and poaching business from the competition.

Did a google search on Viasat and guess what comes up ? Viasat bought a Ka band satellite operator called Wild Blue which has sats in America a few years ago. One of the owners of Wild Blue was Tennenbaum. Tennenbaum are one of the owners of Avanti. Vista have been talking about a JV for EMEA with EUTELSAT for two years. A few hours after the successful launch of HYALS4 Viasat announces that the EUTELSAT JV is at an end.

None of this seem to be a coincidence to me.

If Viasat try to buy Avanti from their old buddies Tennenbaum, will Inmarsat step in and try to stop it ?
Inmarsat and Viasat are current in litigation so clearly hate each other !!

Hours after the successful launch of HYLAS 4, it has been announced that the long mooted JV between EUTELSAT and Viasat has been terminated. Viasat must have an alternative strategy for getting capacity in Africa. WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLE BE !!!!!!!!

its a good point. They could have saved a TONB of money by a) not finishing building HYALS4 and the African ground statins and b) not paying for the rocket - or at least delaying it and holding kit in storage. They clearly think the launch adds near term value

Yep.....Very impressive..... I fail to see any logic whatsoever why Avanti's financial backers would continue with all the trouble, risk and expense of developing and launching Hylas4 if they were not confident that there is a viable commercial payback on their investment. Whether this is in the form of in-house business development or a company buyout, remains to be seen.

That really was amazing. It really brings home to you what an astonishing feat of engineering it all is. Well done to those engineers who built it.

Big milestone, trebles the capacity of the Company
