jeffian - Avanti are now promising to report to the the market quarterly.

BTW Avanti are reporting another "Multi-million dollar" contract this morning.

Just keeps on getting better. What a change a few days make!

A year? There's a year-end trading update in July and Final results in September which will give an indication of growth in revenues from which one should be able to extrapolate future revenues.

It seems its going to take another year here to determine exactly where this company is going imo. Its too difficult to determine anything at the moment imo i will keep an eye on it but i dont think shareholders will see much of a return here imo for the time being.

Exactly right CR. If this had been announced last week it would have been on Vodafone's terms. It was however AFTER the interims and so done on Avanati's terms.

Seems to me it's not the company nor the long positions that are noisy round here.

If I were in Vodafone procurement I'd have squeezed avanti right up to the interims to pressurize the price in order to make the half year. It could be argued that the announcement post-interims bodes well for the long term margin.

Nice research piece by Jeffries on the Avanti bond published yesterday. June 2015 projected EBITDA of $55m (adj for share options costs) on revenues of $123m.. Lower than I had originally hoped but well on the way to very decent profits to June 2016.

The slow signing was one of the reasons why AVN missed last year and the subsequent steep fall. Then for AVN to avoid all mention last week was more than a little worrying. It was one of main reasons for my exasperated post after the results. This was a crucial deal. Forget about the lack of detail. In fact details have slipped out anyway via broker notes.

Clearly Vodaphone weren't going to be rushed. But that's been AVN's problem all along. No one has wanted to rush to Avanti's door as the the new boy on the block with an unproven record.

'Staying in the TMT sector, Avanti Communications rose by 20.25, or 9.88pc, to 225.25p after announcing that it has signed a three-year deal with Vodafone to provide its 3G backhaul services.

Analysts at Natixis said that while the contract was not "entirely surprising it is still extremely good news for Avanti" as the deal will substantially boost the group's prospective sales in the second half of the year. '

CR. It's still noise. And I bet done the deal was done at a razor thin margin so that the company could announce the deal. DW has plenty of experience at making announcements and then not delivering! Just wait.

With the interims out of the way and digested by the market (as Woozle1 helpfully reminds us) any RNS' now are more likely to be positive for the share price than negative as todays has shown. 10% in a day can't be bad - should increase the chance of a bit of coverage re our shiney new customer.

Yes the Vod contract looks/sounds good, but we cant know the truth until EK's reliably-informed little bird tells us what is really happening!

My guess is it will say "there are no figure given because there were none--that AVN gave the deal for free to obtain good publicity".
