05/3/2004 17:54 | Has the board changed in its' personnel? I ask because over the previous months they have not been spoken of as if they are not on the ball and just taking their pay and riding the gravy train and not justifying it. Does this now mean that they have got their act together or is it a different bunch? | kuld
05/3/2004 00:01 | I trust that the "wow" comment means you found the caramel on your first attempt. Cheers Andy | loinerscum
04/3/2004 21:06 | For Heavens sake Lodgey! Scroll to the top of this page, press the button marked NEWS (its blue and in the middle of the top row) and the secrets of the Black Magic box will be yours to behold! | loinerscum
04/3/2004 03:46 | Can someone please post the results, or advise as to where I can read them from. Cheers. | lodgey1973
03/3/2004 23:05 | I am quite content with the results. It seems obvious to me that the current Management are quite happy to keep a relatively low profile and want to find deals to utilise the cash pot. Perhaps they want to avoid unecessary flak from those holders who were excommunicated at the end of last year, but the results seemed to be a fairly spin-free zone. PoNaNa appears to be an excellant deal and if they want to beaver away in the background finding deals that add value its fine by me. One things for sure they certainly seem to have an allergy towards retail investors and are making no real effort to encourage them, which suits me fine as I have always preferred paying wholesale prices rather than retail ones. This to me is a slowly developing value enhancing company with fine prospects, one to buy, file and forget. In a couple of years you'll have a decent profit and because its AIM listed you will only have to worry about 25% of your gain for CGT purposes. To anyone else reading this, check back through the thread and you will see I'm consistant in my stance and much as I like Touchy 2002, it would be nice to have other people to talk to! | loinerscum
03/3/2004 08:22 | Looks good IMHO, net assets in excess of 190p per share, mostly cash. Assuming the 19 week EBITDA for Barvest is representative of the full year, it should be generating c.£2mm pa, sufficient to repay the Avanti loans, and give value to their 60% equity share. Definitely seems worth a further punt, although the spread is a beast, views? touch | touch2002
03/3/2004 08:15 | Or the 3rd of March then! off for a read touch | touch2002
26/2/2004 02:42 | I believe that they are due out on the 31st March. | lodgey1973

18/2/2004 15:16 | Thanks growbag | naed
17/2/2004 15:10 | The company did a reversed takeover with Avanti capital (AVI). The old e-capital shares got converted to Avanti shares, then subsequently twice reorganised. You need to contact your broker to get issued with AVI shares - | growbag
17/2/2004 14:17 | Some time ago i purchased 10,000 E-captilal shares. Since then i have been working in Africa and have been out of touch. Could anybody advise me what they are worth and were new certificates issued or are the e-capital ones still valid? | naed
15/2/2004 21:49 | No it wasn't me, I would have liked to get more but have most of my funds, time and attention focused ob Bioprogress (BPRG), at the moment. I've made a significant profit on them and am expecting greater things in the next couple of weeks. I still hold AVA and AVAW though. Andy | loinerscum
13/2/2004 11:36 | Andy, was that you on the 10k warrants? | touch2002
12/2/2004 12:08 | Johnnie, the warrants are 48.5p to buy, and have value because they convert into Avanti Capital shares on payment of a further 105p. The total cost of buying 1 avanti capital share through buying and converting/excercisi Good to have someone on the board for a change. I personally follow DTC, LBN, LOQ, ONL, ETQ and a few others, although I don't hold any of those atp except etq. In to avanti looking for newsflow prior to their (March?) results touch | touch2002
12/2/2004 11:24 | Touch thanks, I don't quite understand the price of warrants can I get them for 48.5p or 153.5 . You V kindly worked out my cheque which I have received . Do you guys post on any other companies , cos I've got lots of other that have droped so much they are'nt worth selling, ie.MMD, PON, ART, SOPHEON, START IT ,now called something else?, MAYFLOWER, ROSS GROUP, All bought years ago when I was V green,My better buys are GOL, CEY, PRE, and more. The postings on PRE,for instance are generally of no interest and a waste of ones time. Johnnie | jonga
12/2/2004 10:53 | Jonga, sounds like you have 360 shares and c.£80 in a cheque heading your way from the recent share consolidation. Warrants are traded seperately from the normal stock and convert at 105p until end August, 2004. Currently they are available at c.48.5p (total price to buy shares of 153.5p) although only in small amounts online (1000 warrants or less). Charlie, I bought these at 2.25p in the days of Michael Birnbaum and sold out at 1.95p years later (not proud of that one), but got back in through the warrants following the Po Na Na deal and more importantly, the exit from the board of people I didn't feel were working hard / capable of creating shareholder value. Could see a good return on Po Na Na (£2.25m pa on the debt and 60% of £10mm? for their equity). Would bring assets to well above current share price. Could be its performed like a dog and we're stuck with just their cash in the bank, but in the current (crazy) market thats worth more and more... fingers crossed, touch ps. DYOR - See avanti website, Po Na Na news articles etc | touch2002
12/2/2004 10:36 | Just been reading you're V. interesting posts , I bought 25000 at .32p about 3 years ago , & have held & forgotten apart from the re adjustment .On Oct 24 03 received a certificate for 416 shares & another on 19 Dec 03 for 360 shares. I think this means I just have 360 , am I right ?. Also as a holder , can I buy warrants ?. I'm the slowest typer so I don't often post articles, but I can only get faster with practice I'm now using 2 fingers. sorry for the drivel, but would very much like a reply Regards Johnnie | jonga
12/2/2004 10:08 | Guys - Any idea what's behind the gains today and yesterday? I am sitting on a loss - I think I need something like £2.50 per share to break even after buying into ECI around 4p (ages ago). Is this one worth holding - I'm looking to free up some cash to buy some more OYS. Cheers, Charlie | growbag |
