12/2/2004 09:29 | Looking strong atp, small pieces of stock sold into market and larger blocks being bought. Now just waiting for newsflow, touch | touch2002
12/2/2004 00:41 | Growbag You are very welcome here with Touchy and myself (nobody else seems interested), but please try to be a bit more positive, what happened to the old Dunkirk spirit! We can still triumph in the face of adversity! I know how you feel I took ECI losses on the chin too, but if you consider the past over, you are sitting on an AIM stock with potential and any rise from here should be tax free as I guess you are currently sitting on a loss for it. Cheers Andy | loinerscum
10/2/2004 15:08 | Touch - Not much to say about this one at the moment. Apart from Po Na Na its hard to see where any growth is going to come from. A couple of hidden gems in the portfolio maybe - I don't know what the story with this company is anymore - its been restyled so many times. I have a holding unfortunately. | growbag
10/2/2004 10:27 | Spread effectively down to 158-160p | touch2002
09/2/2004 09:52 | Tighter spread, effectively now 157p-162p, reasonable size returning to trades, although only c £75k traded. Where is everyone! touch edit 158-162p | touch2002
08/2/2004 23:18 | A forgotten gem in my opinion, if anybody had listened to my ramblings a few weeks ago they would be nicely in profit now, but it seems theres only me and Touchy here carrying on a private seance. Hey Ho its back at the top of the BB list for a few minutes. Andy PS If you did stray here by mistake, the investment case still holds, you could make a decent return on this share if you are prepared to ignore the old baggage. | loinerscum
03/2/2004 18:06 | FYI An interesting article on the acquisition, interviewing Phelps: | touch2002
03/2/2004 09:19 | Why did the buyer of 820 shares pay 163.68 for the stock. Buying 820 warrants and converting at 105p would have cost 153.75... HELLO! touch | touch2002
03/2/2004 00:20 | I tried to buy 10000 warrants this morning at 40p and the price bounced to 45p while we were discussing the deal. So much for my psychic powers. Still those who took note of my posts will have done well. Andy | loinerscum
02/2/2004 09:28 | Delayed trades driving share price today or rumour? | touch2002
01/2/2004 13:30 | Andy, Thanks! Update on progress at Po Na Na should be the next price driver. Chelsea has apparently been quiet (police checks on underage drinkers...), but to all accounts its been a highly profitable buyout. touch | touch2002
31/1/2004 11:24 | I notice the price is creeping up almost daily. It rose to 147/150 late yesterday, which I suspect means it will open higher again on Monday. At these levels I still believe these show value and will return a good profit on a 6-12 month timescale. Andy PS Touch you would probably be better opening a new TDW account, they are offering 4 months free trading to newbies! | loinerscum
30/1/2004 09:29 | Thanks, I used to have an a/c with citydeal (way back when), I think TDW bought them so probably have a dormant account somewhere. I'll try them out, touch | touch2002
29/1/2004 21:05 | Touch I think in reality you would struggle to get any of the warrants online. Ring your broker up and tell them to see what they can get from the MM's. I use TD Waterhouse and I rang them on 7th January asking to buy 10,000 warrants on T20 settlement at 36p when the listed price was 40p; after a couple of minutes on hold they came back saying the best they could get was 10,000 on T10 at 36.25p which I accepted. OK as a telephone deal it cost slightly more £16.95 rather than £11.95 but I saved £375.00 of the listed price! It all depends what the market makers have on their books, in that case I'd seen a sizeable trade go through a few days before at something around 23p, so I guessed they would haggle. If you don't ask, you'll never know, the broker will always give it a try if you give him clear instructions as long as you aren't being completely unrealistic on the price you want. The broker wants the commission, if your broker won't try, get another broker. I can recommend TDW, they aren't quite the cheapest but offer you a credit limit straight away (£7K to start I think then rising depending on the amount of settled stock in your nominee account), will allow T10 purchases online and T20 and T25 purchases by phone. If you trade 7 times in a quarter there flat rate cost is £11.95 online and £16.95 by phone, finally judging by the advert on the front page of ADVFN they are offering 4 months free dealing for new accounts. They usually deal inside the spread price on most trades too. Hope this helps Andy | loinerscum
29/1/2004 09:22 | Strong again today. Warrants are an interesting way in to the stock, although the online dealing size is almost prohibitive. At the current price £1k in warrants is equivalent to buying 2,500 at 145p - with the added advantage of the having £1,500 on margin. touch | touch2002
27/1/2004 22:09 | Touch2002 The Laxey purchase of 79 million ex Galloway went through at 2.6p (now equates to £1.56) on 22/10/03. The trade and announcement showed up the day after around lunchtime and that was around the market price at that time - Iknow I bought another 50,000 on seeing the announcement. Laxey obviously held almost 30million before this announcement and I have no way of knowing what these cost! Check post 60 onwards. My views on potential upside have not changed. Also I might add that the warrants show some value. You may be able to pick them up between 35p and 40p and they are convertable to full shares at £1.05 anytime up to the end of August. You get exposure to over three times as many shares for the same monetary investment! Andy | loinerscum
27/1/2004 11:33 | Looking fairly strong lately though, small sellers being absorbed and price marked up on a £10k buy touch | touch2002
27/1/2004 10:45 | Loinerscum, Laxey must have bought in well below 140p, perhaps as low as 120p. The share price on the day of announcement of Galloway's share sale was below 140p, and given he was likely a motivated seller (not sufficient volume to drip feed his stake to market) there would have been a discount to the market. views? touch | touch2002
27/1/2004 09:12 | We seem to have plateau'd at 142p, A further update from the Company would be a great boost. Pat | business link
19/1/2004 16:31 | January 19, 2004 Po Na Na Hammersmith 230 Shepherd's Bush Road, LONDON, W6 7NL Tel: (020) 8600 2300 Fax: (020) 8600 2332 Well, what can you say? It's hard to imagine that some of you may not have heard of School Disco in fact, if anyone hasn't, let us know. We can tour you round the south charging sixpence a time to see the freakshow. Anyway, back to the matter in hand. School Disco is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the clubbing phenomenon of the noughties. To recap in 1999 a fellow named Bobby Sanchez got fired (so the story goes) from his Djing job for playing This 'Ole House by Shakin' Stevens. Somewhat disgruntled he set up School Disco specifically so that people could listen to truly dreadful music and dress like they did when they were 10. 50 people turned up to the first event. The rest is history. School Disco has now had a number one album, branches in Sydney, Ibiza and all the home countries, New Year's Eve 2002 saw five different arenas being sold out across the UK and Mr Bobby Sanchez has become stupidly minted. So, all very nice for him. But what about the event itself? Well, like Ronseal, it does exactly what it says on the tin you pay your cash (£12 in advance or £15 on the door) then you enter into what basically amounts to an enormous...school disco. Po Na Na is packed out every week, and, true to the inspiration, the entire affair is one long pulling, bouncing and falling over marathon. Whether it appeals to the British Carry On sense of humour is uncertain what it does most certainly appeal to is just about every single twentysomething 9-5er in the capital...and beyond. So, expect to have just about enough room to breathe. In addition expect to become hopelessly inebriated whilst listening to entertainment that ranges from simple disco Djing all the way to appearances by eighties stars and enormous puppets (that's Sooty and Sweep by the way). For those of you in any doubt this is not serious clubbing. It's more fun than that. Reviewed by - Eoin Sanders | vatattack

15/1/2004 09:15 | Sorry to dissapoint you lodgey but I dont think the interims are due until end March | dubbsie
15/1/2004 01:25 | I believe that the interim results are due on on Jan 31st. Does anyone know how the PO NA NA investiment is going? | lodgey1973 |
