13/5/2009 11:03 | I understand but I suspect Ukraine has bottomed now. There have been many months after the mass withdrawall of western money from Ukraine where the banks and goverment were unable to help. I understand the goverment propossed drastic fiscal measure and spending cuts and tax rises which played out with mass demonstrations and a bit of public unrest, however many of the proposals were put through. Luckily this satisfied the IMF and they got their IMF support last month. Going forward, we have elections later on in the year where the public can vent their anger and bring in anouther goverment, so this will really seat the foundations for recovery there. You have to remember, people in ukraine have only fractions of personal debt compared to over here and recovery is likely to be hard and fast, all imo sorry for ramble. what i wanted to say is davebowler i said aurr has little resistance back to 80p and you said hope not, what did you mean? | neal d morris
12/5/2009 16:05 | I'd rather have Russian exposure than Ukranian, but cheap is cheap I guess, wherever it is. | barnes wallace
12/5/2009 12:59 | O.K. will look. | davebowler
12/5/2009 11:27 | davebowler try DUPD (Dragon Ukraine property developments) cash per share is approx 55pence right now whilst the share price can be had for 36pence per share. The company has so much spare cash and the share price so bombed that they are buying shares back for cancellation by the bucket load. | neal d morris

11/5/2009 18:17 | I think the complete lack of selling, coupled with consistent buying, tripled with the overhang being cleared out suggests that you are correct. | barnes wallace
11/5/2009 17:51 | Consolidated thread forecast for position after results in June. FURTHER CONTRIBUTIONS WELCOME!!! 11/5/2009 15:10 | Extract from ( money transfer co.)Unistream's website-we own a quarter. In 2007 the total volume of transactions was equal to $ 3,7 billion with the average sum of transactions of $1200. We expect 2008 to be even more successful with the number of transaction exceeding 6.0 million. | davebowler
10/5/2009 19:34 | think nav will be down to 102p, and think the shares will be higher than 40p, as nav will have risen since the period end. | barnes wallace
10/5/2009 19:12 | me thinks...60-70p! | tadska
08/5/2009 20:37 | pelleeds: welcome back. Hope you got a good price. I se mkt moved things up 9% once they knew you were on board! Trying (see post 118) to get from holders estimates of the end March NAV which I think will be announced some time in June and (crucially) the discount to NAV which the mkt will then assign. Partly for a bit of fun, partly to estimate an approx target share price current guesstimates das (110, 50%), davebowler (117, still thinking) Barnes? Darcon? Trader IM? Tadska? mangal? The challenge is open. Have a go! Thanks ia das ps all imho, cmb etc | das9

08/5/2009 11:24 | Daveb: Thanks again for your intro to this from the JRS thread. Lookng at discounts then led me indirectly to iii which I also bought into. Having a great day there to-day! COME ON ALL YOU LUCKY HOLDERS, GET OFF THE FENCE and have a guess at the end March NAV and discount! | das9
07/5/2009 14:54 | I hope not! | davebowler
07/5/2009 12:44 | Some more buying volume today, mangal - 30 Apr'09 - 10:23 - 117 of 118 Look at that graph- hardly any resistance till 80p ! How true imo | neal d morris
02/5/2009 18:22 | Assuming we are going to get AURR results and March NAV in June, maybe time to speculate on: a. What the end March NAV will be, and b. What discount the market will assign to it. The last NAV we have is 116.9 for end September 2008: at this date the share price was at a 64% discount. My own guess is that the March NAV will come out at 110 (generally weak markets but some positive growth in investee companies), and that with forward optimism much better than September the Market will assign a lower discount of 50%. This means an share price of 55. Other guesstimates invited! das | das9
30/4/2009 10:23 | Look at that graph- hardly any resistance till 80p ! | mangal
29/4/2009 17:48 | Still going the right way I see.....be lucky all. | germanicus
28/4/2009 13:55 | I finally did get a few more, btw. | das9
28/4/2009 13:54 | The year end was changed last year to March 31st. The results for 15 months to March (including NAV for end March) were announced on 23rd June. Notice of the results date was given on 19th June. So worst case scenario is that we have 2 months to wait for an update. Still good news (which I expect) is worth waiting for.... | das9
28/4/2009 13:10 | mkt update | s4tan
28/4/2009 13:10 | I agree- its got no borrowing, reasonable diversification, Director buying, recent bullish news. what else could we want? | davebowler
28/4/2009 12:43 | You really want to pay attention to stocks that are strong on weak market days. This will double and still be outragously cheap imo. | barnes wallace |
