"The expenses we have incurred have been very evident and the Board is very confident that with this and other future projects the rewards for shareholders will follow". Interesting recovery play IMO :) |
Nice to start the week with some good news at last |
Did nobody notice another 3 million buy at 1.8p on Friday.
Wow who is buying these up. They must be either taking them over or see a recovery of some sorts because latest results were awful |
Doesn't take much does it. Really starting to regret that missed top up at 1p! |
AUK top off the gainers at the moment. |
It looks like someone bought 3,000,000 shares. That must be close to a notifiable holding. |
Damn...I was just thinking about buying a few more at 1p! |
Dreadful results today. I'm very glad I sold what was left of my holding some time ago |
Let's hope it's the start of a recovery, but I sold out because I just got fed up with waiting for a recovery which doesn't seem to ever come, coupled with the dwindling cash position and departure of the FD. I may just have bought at the top and sold at the bottom but I feel there is a chance despite all their industry awards that this will not make it so I took back what I had left. |
Very nice project for Veretec:https://www.gov.uk/government/news/es-devlin-obe-to-design-uk-pavilion-at-expo-2020-dubai |
I suspect this will just limp on for some time and then be taken out for a song by a competitor who knows what it is doing. There are huge projects still happening globally and this bunch cant seem to get new business over the line. Another profit warning today shows how inept they are as a company. |
I've thrown in the towel. There doesn't seem to be any green shoots of recovery and cash is starting to look worrying.
Not one of my better investments. |
It does seem to be a hapless company never any positivity or encouraging news to give long time shareholders some hope. AUK seems to blame Brexit for all its woes however there must be many projects that it is tendering for and just not winning. A bit of leadership would not go amiss here! |
Hi Norbert
I've been thinking of selling out and taking the hit recently after the FD resigned. I think on balance i'll wait for the next set of results and look at the cash position and outlook. Hopefully their markets will turn before they run out of cash. |
Nice project win for a Veretec:https://www.architectsjournal.co.uk/news/set-designer-es-devlin-picked-for-uk-pavilion-at-expo-2020-dubai/10035546.article |
Totally inept management lacking direction and strategy. Needs a new broom badly! |
Oh well, results as expected I suppose. At least there are recent signs of improvement... early days but some hope for the future? |
Mmmm....interesting.
AUK + 34.68%, as I type. Best bid/ask showing is 2.26p v 3.00p, with 2.96p paid for small.
The last seller appears to have received 2.334pp

Indeed - results next week we assume. |
Nice to see AUK at the top of the leader board this morning...it doesn’t take much! |
I think they should be ok for cash depending on just how bad the first half loss is. Much of the debt is a secured loan which they appear to be paying back at a rate of £250k a year plus they had cash less overdrafts of around £1m when the finals were published so I would hope cash is not yet a problem. Also they have a pretty sound balance sheet overall at the moment.
Of course trading does need to improve soon for this to remain the case. |
Only 10p lol |
