Look, I don't care what you want but please don't start a bullish thread then a day later be on about profit warnings. You may have been on here for yonks but I've been into shares for over 30 years. |
I'm suspicious when a very very very low-key non-oil firm suddenly sprouts a forum and within 24 hours a profit-warning rumour sprouts? Nobody on ADVFN is suddenly into this and nobody cares. Why do you? |
In Arthur_Lame_Stocks defence. I have also received a private message from a user by the name of 21trader advising that there could be a profit warning, so not sure what shenanigans are going on.
One thing for sure I will not be selling my shares any time soon and will wait until the November update before making any decisions about my investment and will be adding as and when possible, as I believe that there are some unsavory characters using ADVFN attempting to manipulate punters into offloading their shares cheaply. I'm not one of them as I believe this is a solid company.

Here is an email I received from Beverley @Aukett this morning. I'm sure she wouldn't mind me posting this. I would be gobsmacked if a profits warning was issued.
Thank you for your email and interest in our Group.
I can appreciate the downwards trend in the share price is disappointing. The recent director sales have been due to personal circumstances and do not bear any relation to their view of the Company. In one instance the sales were taken up by other Directors, in the other Broadwalk Asset Management, one of our institutional investors took the opportunity to add to their holding with an extra 2.7m shares on the 8th September.
In relation to news on contracts and existing projects much of this is covered through our main website under the projects or news sections.
Whilst I cannot confirm an exact date, I would expect to issue an update in November, ahead of our final results publication in January.

Had a private message suggesting a profit warning is due. If it happens won't that bring the recent Director share sales into question? If it does happen after the last guidance I may complain. |
If eps does hit 0.9p then this is cheap. Nice to see a tiddler making money and paying a reasonable dividend. Rare. gl ALS.

I suspect that they may be more of a problem than you think, but at 6p i would like to think that it is all in the price. What do you make of the recent share holding shuffle? |
Hi Spooky, not really these are a small part of their business, although they have recently made and acquisition focussed on the ME as far as I can see the bulk of their profits come from Europe and anyway a crash in the price of oil may simply give the leaders of the main Middle Eastern countries further impetus to diversify their economies away from oil.

I've bought a few of these at 6p because I think they're cheap. EPS this year will hopefully come in at about .9p and I think there could be a dividend of 0.2 - 0.22p a share. There doesn't seem much in this market as cheap as this, the last one I found was NWT.
Anyone else have a sensible opinion? |
