11/7/2002 10:38 | some clown sending out info via hotmail( a stock news letter) said this was a buy in March--I told then the company sucks and the price would fall---I guess I called it right | whitie2
07/7/2002 19:03 | Agreed. I would like to know more about the contract in the offing. They need considerably more than this one item though to stave off more retrenchment.Auk is a Great company Great team Great potential but people appear prefer to pay Sir Norman Foster more for a very similar job!! What's in a name?? Foster are only 200yds away form AUK H/Q but it may as well be a million miles in terms of income. | valentine
03/7/2002 22:14 | I dumped them today. No news is bad news in my view. | stealth117
03/7/2002 21:22 | I said goodbye to AUK the other day and hopefully made the right decision. Tenders have not come through is the word. Maybe several months before they recover. Lot of lay-offs amongst admin staff PA's Receptionists etc. Bad atmosphere and doomy gloom feeling in Parkgate Road. They'll come back. But when?? Seem to be a lot of people exiting. There are rumours of a contract that will see them through the year but need a lot more than that to make them profitable before 2003. See you next year AUKs. | valentine
19/5/2002 19:49 | anyone in particular! You should know my feelings on dodgy boards especially ones who mislead investors | whitie2
19/5/2002 19:47 | Maybe I agree. I'll sleep on it!! AUK are a 'good' company. There are a lot more dodgy boards and managements with hidden agenda's around.... I know from experience. | valentine
19/5/2002 19:43 | I am in this and have been for some time I have found the need to average down to the point where I am still at a loss but comfortable. Although that said I would not claim this is a raging buy at the moment but definately one to watch for the upswing which may come next year | whitie2
19/5/2002 19:40 | They are taking their time announcing those projects...I shall have to call someone..like my broker | valentine
27/4/2002 14:43 | They are on the way back. Lot of action re: tenders and projects agreed. | valentine
23/4/2002 18:20 | Interesting movement today, marked up a 1/4p (5.6%) without any shares being traded. | crfc63
15/3/2002 13:47 | I've sold at a loss. This one won't be going anywhere for a while and my money is better off elsewhere. Paul | pme104
08/3/2002 21:27 | There was some buying today at low prices. I'm sorry I got so excited after results, now. I still believe there is some good news, regarding contracts in London, in the pipeline. I am assured there are contracts out there awaiting signatures!!! They are too sophisticated to bow out altogether, surely!!?? | valentine
08/3/2002 11:27 | Well there it was the trading statement 7/3/02, and a bad one I suspect you could buy Aukett at sub 3p quite soon to hold then for a recovery,,,, hopefully! | hdavies12
30/1/2002 14:42 | If you are an experienced Architect, know about Commercial building practice and want to work in London. Apply for a job. You'll get it!! Start date when you like preferably before end of March! | valentine
30/1/2002 12:10 | Sell now if you are up or at breakeven, mark my words unless you are happy to hold this share for the long term, the price will go nowhere except maybe down slightly until the next trading statement or results. You will miss nothing by being out of this stock over the next 3 to 4 months.I noticed only a few buyers recently at 7 to 7.5p , the party is over. And,, longer term holders are not going to get their final dividend of .25p I suspect some of them to bail out soon. As you know small volumes affect the price big time. But after all that said I wish all private investors luck,I just think that as cheap as Aukett seems to be, it aint going any higher soon. I held Aukett at last years results when while trading most of the year on a p/e of 15 to 17 and expecting a forward p/e of 10 (at 20p) which we got the share price went down and holders of the stock at that time were saying that the price looked a bit "toppy" and they were right. I did sell out before losing but did not buy back then until I saw them at 4.5p offer, more by luck than judgement as I was very tempted at 9p. DYOR on charts and volumes etc. and come to your own conclusions. It is a very different stock at 5.5p without that dividend. 6.5p puts it on a current p/e of 10 which is too high bearing in mind the likely outcome of the first half of this year. | hdavies12
28/1/2002 19:18 | Then why oh why was the report not at least a little upbeat.AND why oh why announce results on 28th when posting to be on 29th.A course on investor relations needed here. BE LUCKY. | codhead1
28/1/2002 19:09 | The results are drab as expected. The upside is in the potential contracts. Several tasty items around the Capital and UK are at well advanced stage of discussion. One particularly big one in London. European Offices mostly running profitably. Set-up costs defrayed. This is a quality company that has been getting its house in order over the past 12 months and is now ready to go. | valentine
28/1/2002 09:23 | Weeeeell, I reckon they are on a p/e of around 10 on today's results. They make money and they may have ahd their annus horrablis. I'd have preferred a more update message from the Chairma - that downturns gget rid of competion and give an opportunity to increase market share. hdavies - we'd still need £4.3m to buy all the shares. But you're right - if we all went out today and bought £3000 each - first, we'sd almost certainly double our money in two years on the basis of performance recovery by the company but secondly, we almost certainly double our money overnight on the basis of share supply and demand - mind you it will be a case of who blinks first because the first tranche of selling will send the price right back down again. | faz
25/1/2002 22:13 | AUK Tipped as a hold and liked as a good (story) on the bloomberg money stockclock tonight. Looking good for figures on 29th. | codhead1
24/1/2002 18:26 | Yes FAZ - They are at it again - only around £6,500 shares traded and a rise of some 8%.Illiquid or what. | codhead1
23/1/2002 19:35 | It has been a very quiet year for Aukett. I bought these at 17p and suffered for it. I recall the CEO saying this time last year that everything looked rosy. Proved quite the opposite. Europe has settled down but business is conventional stuff merely ticking over. Loads of opportunity once people who matter get confidence back and decide to implement business developments again. Someone needs to get finger out and sign a contract or two. That is what will drive the share. Results are not going to glow IMO. I doubt there will be any major announcement on contracts prior to results. | valentine |
