The SKY News article highlights the most important aspect in this process. Audioboom is undervalued compared to its US peers. This has been obvious for the past 12 months and especially since the end of Q319 when revenue and improved cash flow showed a proper impetus in the business. Revenue X 4 is the current norm in the recent acquisitions and many have been way in excess of the matrix. On Friday the 2020 revenue forecast was upgraded to $33m. You can be sure this is conservative as 50% has already been committed. This gives a minimum price per share of $10. The article talks of $35 to $40m. So do your own calculations.

Absolute adolescent comments about the requirements of a data room. Back in the days it would be a physical room with physical documents. Now it's a virtual room on line with coded access to documents. There are legalities involved in that the acquirer has a duty of care to its shareholders. It's called due diligence and covers not only financials but legal documentation, agreements and contracts. Try putting that in your spreadsheet and smoking it. Every comment you make scoop is seen through for what it is. Pompous and misleading.

Scoopity scoop while you can. Doesn't seem you are able to do much better price wise. 5 stars for effort though.

Emailing spreadsheets, a term used by people who don't understand a process

"data room" .. A phrase euphemistically used by bulls to make the review of the business sound like it's complex enough to have to take an undefined number of months - so the bullish bluster can continue unabated. In reality a number of spreadsheets need to be emailed to get a grip of what the business is about.

PND: Do you see Audioboom as a seller, or an acquirer?

Last: I don’t think we are in any rush to be an acquirer again. We’re still relatively small and there may be some benefit in us joining forces with other similarly sized companies but it’s not something that we’re too interested in today. We still have conversations regularly with others in the space about what those opportunities could look like. We are well positioned as the biggest global independent podcast business to be a target for acquisitions. I wouldn’t say we are deliberately positioning ourselves or looking for that. We are confident in continuing this growth that we have for a while, but if the right opportunity came our way we’d have to consider it because the whole industry is consolidating. We don’t want to be in a position in 18 months or two years when that consolidation has happened around us and we can’t compete anymore because we’re not part of a bigger group.

If that isn't a 'for sale' sign, I don't know what is.
