I came out of here recently because although I believe they have an excellent business model I want to see what happens to the share price when they finalise the project funding. I may decide to get back in depending on how it looks at that time. |
Sadly the chart tells us all we need to know and apart from a few years in 2005-2007 is the shape of my experiences of investing in a PL company. Hope it comes good for everyone, but my holding is so small now that it won't make much of a difference to me. It now needs to go up 100% to get anywhere near it's initial listing price. |

Scaley, lol and more to the point. |
... or the board room? |
Indeed! It certainly seems to me like a great business model, but we need to watch out for sharks in the water! |
There could be vatna but beware the falling knife. |
Maybe a good buying opportunity coming up in the near future? |
Well the chart is obviously predicting a military coup in Paraguay, lol. No bottom now, the PL effect. Shorters dream chart. |
![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) Wouldn't want to say too much about PL however his involvement is a real concern. I made money with him in IEC and lost money with him in PPC. Clearly my view is tainted from the PPC angle, however I would say, he was been less than honest through the PPC situation. The PPC collapse was bad enough with decision making and integrity highly questionable. When they delisted, they promised quarterly updates on PPC's performance and whether the money supposedly coming from the Argentine assets was being paid. We have had one update and when I messaged the company about this last year, I didn't receive a reply. The recent transfer of shares in ATOME from PPC is another example. The more and more that I have "invested" (more like donated) to small AIM companies with a "charasmatic CEO" the more I am convinced they are all vehicles to promote family wealth rather than grow shareholders funds. I sold here in the early 140s as I needed to recover something from the PPC disaster and still hold a tiny amount of free shares in my SIPP. |
They need to sort the funding out fast. This price action smells of a third party who has got whiff of the deal |
The MCAP isn't vast at the moment, at about £19M, so hopefully won't drop much in the future when thjey get near to production. |
Speed of progress might need to improve though to match the 'close to norm' wad the family do receive.
The business model of taking surplus electricity from a hydro dam at advantageous prices and using that energy to manufacture fertiliser and/or hydrogen has to be a very good model especially when there are willing purchasers of the fertiliser both close by and in Europe where fertiliser prices are stupidly high with taxes.
So why the slow development?
I guess that once the facility starts to produce the end product the company valuation will drop as reality kicks in. During this 'sales' phase the actual work is far more pleasurable and justification is always maintained because......soon....... we will be producing.
I've been viewing my modest holdings here much as I'd view a bet on a roulette wheel. Black or Red? |
Wages ok close to norm |
Regardless of PL, surely the question is "does ATOM have a good business model, and good prospects? |
Dake1, not at all, some collateral damage with ppc but lesson learned. If you are holding here you obviously haven't learned how PL operates. Research how much in salaries he and his family take from this venture. |
Ducatiman…R30;…somewhat bitter still |
Where on earth does delisting come from!! |
Peter Levine wrong greenelf.
The very small amount I invested on behalf of my grandkids I can afford to write off. Had I known more about this man before that investment I may not have made such.
I do suspect though that before the eventual final end of Atome there will be occasions when the share price will spike up as it has done several times in the past. Somebody, somewhere, will make money but on the back of many more losers.
I suspect I know which group Mr Levine will fall into. |
I am out, something very very wrong here. Delisting??? |
A strange one, but vaguely positive. |
A very peculiar RNS this morning I had gone on the basis that Mussat lived in Paraguay. We await news later this month and we will see if they break ground in Q1 as they have previously indicated.. In the December RNS they talked about a second round of project finance discussions but no ides where we stand with that from the RNS today. |
The link below is an interesting article about recovering phosphates from polluted waterways and restoring the phosphates to the surrounding land.
If this catches on it could reduce demand for new fertilizers. |
