23/1/2024 13:50 | SP Angel seems to agree with this boards commentsAtlantic Lithium* (ALL LN) 20.20p, Mkt cap £126m Assore notifies market of increase in shareholding to 28.4% as potential precursor to hostile offerAssore International Holdings Limited reports it has raised its stake to 28.40% from 25.06%.We suspect the move may be a precursor to an offer for the company .UK takeover provisions do not apply as Atlantic Lithium is incorporated in Australia but Assore have bought the maximum that the 3% creep provision allows every six months.Atlantic management have already rejected offers from Assore to take over the business on at least two occasions.Assore have been long-standing backers of Atlantic supporting the IPO in 2015 and continuing to back the company through its transition into lithium. The group runs a series of bulk commodity mines in South Africa and holds 50% of Assmang (manganese), 100% of Dwarsrivier Chrome mine and 100% of Wonderstone.Assore also holds 26.6% of Gemfields and ~14% of Vision Blue Resources as well as its 28.4% stake in Atlantic Lithium.Given the worsening political, security situation in South Africa we would not be surprised to see more South African based businesses move to consolidate assets outside the region. Conclusion: We suspect Assore will be preparing for another potentially less friendly run on the company*SP Angel acts as Nomad to Atlantic Lithium. Two mining analysts from share price Angel recently visited the Ewoyaa mine site in Ghana and drove onto Takoradi to check the quality of the road to port. Our analysts also visited the Ministry of Minerals Commission and MIIF, the Ghana Minerals Income Investment Fund. | pauliewonder
23/1/2024 12:31 | Not sure on the rules and when the next offer would/can come in. If after March and ratification confirmed, then the price could be higher, also would need to be before MIIF dilution I guess. Lots of chat about spud price and rising after Chinese new year. Not sure of the significance, however if spud trades between 900-1500 then I can see us being with a lot more. Time will tell | l0ngterm
23/1/2024 12:20 | Prob 35p it's come off a few pence since the 33p offer so 35p may do it. I'd accept a 70% uplift from here hence I'm buying | bigglesbingham
23/1/2024 10:43 | Thanks for that | disc0dave46
23/1/2024 09:58 | Sorry but how do you know they paid 25?On the 19th the day of the purchase the share price was 21.5p to 22.5p.In todays RNS NH said:"...a premium to the current price..."Well that's true as it closed yesterday at 20.75p | disc0dave46
23/1/2024 09:41 | The games that play out, so Assore bought at 25, takeover offer at 33 and are expected to take another run. We are at 20. What's everyone's thoughts will they offer forty? A higher offer? | l0ngterm
23/1/2024 09:15 | I agree there's definite manipulation of price to make 33p look attractive. | bigglesbingham
22/1/2024 15:10 | There are some things not yet said about this company I feel, and it ain’t going to be good.aimho | albert35911
22/1/2024 11:23 | SP Angel today EV market heading for 22% growth in 2024Global passenger sales are expected to reach 16.7m in 2024 and increase of 21% (Bloomberg NEF)Global EVs saw a growth of 33% in 2023, but due to various global factors though the rate of growth is now expected to slow.China is slowing due to market saturation in the wealthier regions and tougher economic conditions overall.European sales are expected to be relatively flat as companies hold back on high volume production before CO2 regulations tighten in 2025.In the US, it has become more difficult to qualify for IRA tax credits slowing growth further.2024 will see the emerging markets continue to grow India, Thailand, and Indonesia all saw good growth in 2023. | plasybryn
22/1/2024 10:58 | So listening to MOM podcast this morning. Liontown debt facility withdrawn, wood mckenzie reporting lepidolite will be about longer and African production coming into play. Interesting times all round. | l0ngterm
22/1/2024 10:32 | Just topped up at 20.444. Very cheap given the rejected offer at 33p in Nov and the recent news. Seems Assore are looking to take this out at similar price to the previous offer although have been hoovering up more shares at 25p. That means they can make a higher offer than 33p (say 40p) which might get accepted. If they get enough cheap shares, that would make it equivalent to around 33p old offer price | pauliewonder
22/1/2024 10:15 | That's was the China price, I was referring to. | l0ngterm
22/1/2024 10:14 | Spud price dropped again, so Lithium stocks will be tracking that I would guess | l0ngterm
22/1/2024 08:53 | Big drops on lithium stocks on the ASX last night ... ..Liontown, MinRes etc | gardenboy
22/1/2024 07:52 | Down 8.86% on AX. Why. Does that make sense. | plasybryn
21/1/2024 21:30 | Keeping mind the reserves will double at least | l0ngterm
21/1/2024 21:07 | Overall, the company should now be looking at creating competing bids. Assore is less than transparent, and maybe that says more about the offer? | l0ngterm
21/1/2024 17:07 | Missed this on 18th.CO2 targets for heavy-duty vehicles that will phase out almost all sales of new diesel trucks by 2040. Manufacturers will have to cut the average emissions of new trucks by 45% in 2030, 65% in 2035 and 90% in 2040. Green group Transport & Environment (T&E) said the law provides European truck producers planning certainty to go zero emissions and compete with foreign electric truckmakers | l0ngterm
21/1/2024 13:38 | Interesting they are at 28.4% now. If they go above 30% they will have to make another mandatory offer:"Requirement for a mandatory offer: Where a bidder is interested in shares carrying 30% or more of the target's voting share rights, the bidder must make a mandatory offer in cash at no less than the highest price paid during the preceding 12 months (often referred to as a "Rule 9 offer")." | pauliewonder
20/1/2024 17:11 | Great spot Icwanderer. Does that mean an RNS on Monday. And one on the Assore share accumulation from Piedmont? | plasybryn
20/1/2024 13:04 | Nice update,I am not surprised. The cynic in me is wondering if the noise has all been created by Assore or others hoping to get this down and in cheaper. | l0ngterm |
