Yes quite right,Orca shorted Piedmont.Back in May,the price of Piedmont was around 60 dollars.Now its some 31 dollars.They made money for the wrong reasons proving that a healthy dollop of luck is a prequisite of successful punting.

There are punters and there are serious investors.In a risk adverse equity market,a smallish mining stock listed on the AIM market has and remains vulnerable to extreme volatility.Its ironic that Blue Orca shorted the stock back in May from the mid 30s for what has ultimately proved to be spurious reasons.Nonetheless,Blue Orca looks to have made money.A lot has changed in equity markets in the last six months in terms risk appetite.Lithium stocks in general have weakened especially in this high interest rate environment.Yet,Atlantic Lithium stands out as a company that has got funding for the Ewoyaa project organised and ultimately that should underpin the stock going forward.As for the punters,let them play in their paddling pool.

Perhaps Mr. 450k of yesterday will earn his £20k today.......which may keep our share price more flat than we would expect....and I'm sure there are others wanting their 10%......but we have traded nearly double plus a half of our normal daily volume in just the first 30 minutes....so perhaps we will see the real rise over the next few days as sellers ease....and the enormity of this news is further discussed and sinks in!

I, for one, am a lot more comfortable since reading the RNS in full.......amazing for Ghana, us and our partner!

Can only expect to be back to the mid 30s soon enough and then after the MIIF investment and "part" of our remaining 40.5% sold in another offtake.......who knows!

Glad I got my small lunchtime top up yesterday.
