Well guys,What did i say.....this is just the beginning. This little softwarehouse with its adoe vision product will prove to be very popular. It hitherto has been forgotten whilst punters have been clamouring for other stocks. As I said, this will be gresham of 2004.If you want another punt then try Cybit holdings.Cybit signed a contract with lex vehicle leasing who today announced a 3 Billion pound contract thru Rac.This will filter down to cybit who provide telematics for cyh. Please dyor but in the meantime ATL will keep me very happy.

Not sure why it's rising today - very few trades.

I hope you're right MAKDAY

I may well boost my holding substantially if things start moving.

I also now have a good feeling about ATL and would expect some news before long.

Business IT spending projections for 2004 are good. ATL has good products, lets hope nature (and a good sales team) takes it's course... There's also updates and follow on sales of new modules to existing clients. The client list is truly impressive the above are just a selection. But yes, news would be nice...

Nice post eibbor - helps to sustain confidence in the company but why haven't other companies cottoned on to this?

Bit flat currently - need some new contract wins to boost investor interest and share price again

interesting debate fellas not sure about the insider dealing rules. I'd say it's a grey area as a director is an insider so any dealing they do is, in a sense 'insider' dealing.

Anyway here's what happened last time.

22/09/03 12:50 Atlantic Global (ATL) Director Shareholding RNS
23/09/03 08:00 Atlantic Global (ATL) Director Shareholding RNS
03/10/03 07:00 Atlantic Global (ATL) New Contract Awards RNS

22/09/03 director buy
23/09/03 director sale to satisfy institutional demand
03/10/03 HELLO!

That's what, 11 days? between a director buy and a contract and I don't think anyone's in prison (lol)
That doesn't mean the same thing is about to happen but I'd say a bit of director buying can't be bad even if it's just their way of saying everything's OK.

Mug, He wouldn't be allowed to buy shares if the company was shortly thereafter to announce a major contract which per se would lead to a share price rise. If he did, he would be exploiting the knowledge about such a contract and would be seen as dealing on insider information - the closed period is not relevant to this (tho you are right about how that works too). This is insider trading laws and not closed period related. Hope that explains my point more.

In some ways todays buy is negative as if something was brewing (eg contract announcement), he wouldn't be allowed to have bought today as he'd have insider information...

Overall tho its clearly a medium term plus point that he's bought some but he needs to buy rather a lot more I think to make it material!

Hooray
New non exec chairman has bought a few shares, hope this may stop the rot.
I don't want to sell these but can't afford to watch it slip back below the 60p bracket.
