19/9/2003 07:14 | well, what happened at the presentatation? did it go on all night or just fizzle out or what? | bbbb
18/9/2003 23:49 | OK: present p/e 140, target p/e 20, assuming a 5% earnings yield. with an 80% payout that would be a 4% dividend yield. so, at present rate of growth, how many years for the profit to increase by 700% to bring the p/e down to 20? then, assuming an earnings yield of 5% is a fair valuation, what should the net present value be now, discounted back from that date in the future? the difference (and there is a difference!) between the npv of the target p/e and the current share price is a 'hope' premium for the wish that progress will be faster... | bbbb
18/9/2003 18:21 | Can't find anything on the presentation.I am completely gaga as to why the shres haven't gone the other way following all the good vibes that came out today, lesser companies like surface tech have leapt 40-50% on much much less optimism. The markets are defying logic again.Still happily holding and just maybe a raft of good press may just do the trick tomorrow. | blopblup
18/9/2003 13:24 | Anything come out of the analysts presentation yet? | morose
18/9/2003 10:28 | whats the point..its irrelevant......prof | paulkent
18/9/2003 09:58 | has anyone done the mathematics to figure out how many years it will take at the current rate of growth for the turnover to rise to say half the present market capitalisation? | bbbb
18/9/2003 08:28 | The fact that anyone sees the need to RAMP a company on other boards means it is purely for kids and fast money and is therefore most definitely NOT worth a look! :0) | taurusthebear
18/9/2003 08:22 | from the man who gave you AHT yesterday (risen 19% since), let me make aware of MDY........they have had 3 product launches within the last 2 months and have recently formed good partnerships with smiths, walmart and others, the current share price is a steal. with the recent launches and an impending trading statement and speculation of bid talk from smiths (smiths agm next week) at under 20p I would say there is potential for QUICK and significant profit. worth a look...imho | wlfc1
18/9/2003 08:08 | The presentation to analysts at 10.30 should be very interesting plus good press tomorrow should start to give the shares the impetus they deserve.I agree with Rob Molloy totally that SCE buzzes on hot air yet ATL with sound results and plenty of potential simply fizzes out. | blopblup
18/9/2003 07:58 | Morning all, Just what I was looking for. "we expect to sign contracts with a number of NEW and existing customers in the NEAR future". | excelsior
18/9/2003 07:54 | Paul, take your point on the small cap funds, this is a good opportunity for them if they can get enough stock. Remember how tightly held it is. What frustrates me is the "blue sky" companies that have not delivered any profit for years, if they ever did at all. Example. Surface Transforms (SCE) Results recently, two directors leaving and look at the balance sheet. they will run out of money in 9 months.Share price at results was 18p, today, some two weeks later it is at 63p, both bid prices. No profit, No cash, one $50k order and very little hope. Come on, whats it all about. | rob molloy
18/9/2003 07:37 | exactly rob and i think theres prob a bit of buying going on that we're not seeing yet...coz mms seem to want stock i think.. | paulkent
18/9/2003 07:29 | Mug, yes I agree. These interims are in fact quite good. OK no blockbusting news but that to come over the next few months. Its a solid little company that makes a profit and is growing organically. Share price turning round now as the figures are digested properly and investors see the potential going forward. Not in the least bit dissapointed with these. How many companies wish they could stick out a set of interims like ATL? | rob molloy
18/9/2003 07:25 | i think there should be lots of interest in this actually...its not often you get the combination of exciting possible growth WITH an already profit making cah robust business...u usually only get the first with loss making outfits and the second with pretty boring businesses...think a lot of institutions into small caps will get interested | paulkent
18/9/2003 07:12 | Results nothing spectacular as we all knew. Contract awards (unlike other announcements such as new product launches) must be announced as soon as they are signed (or a letter of intent is given) so as to ensure all price sensitive information is in the public domain so there was never going to be such news unless in the unlikely event that it was signed after market close Yesterday and I don't think multinational corporations will move siging contracts for the sake of a small companies news management purposes. Anyway here are the really exciting bits from the results :- "The response from our existing customer base to our Corporate Vision product has confirmed our view that it has the potential to revolutionise and deliver major efficiency savings to large corporations." "With the introduction of Corporate Vision, which is specifically targeted towards very large blue-chip companies, we would expect that the average size of future contracts will be larger and potentially less evenly spread than those won in the past." This one is just a waiting game now before becoming a multibagger in the short to medium term. | mug punter
18/9/2003 07:08 | Good time to top up before price starts to rise again | morose
18/9/2003 07:07 | no, I would sell to grab the profit of 10p a share or so over the last few weeks which arose in anticipation of the increase - of £1,000 - in the net profit for the half year. | bbbb
18/9/2003 07:02 | A good set of interims, more blue chip customers, profit up a nudge. All round it looks very encouraging for the full year. If only some other companies could deliver like ATL. Funny how others can have a high P/E on hot air. At least the directors can buy now thay are out of close period and if you were a director of ATL, would you buy? | rob molloy
18/9/2003 06:59 | As I say it will be an up and down day | trt
18/9/2003 06:59 | looks good for the future no matter what the mm's do to it today | morose
18/9/2003 06:58 | like the fact that they expect better results in second half, AND expect to sign larger contracts soon too...already profit making, potential for full year profits of £750000?..makes a mkt cap of £20mill look very good value surely as it almost allows hardly anything for growth AND they have £2million cash in the bank... growing well run profitable business | paulkent
18/9/2003 06:52 | pre market indications down 7.5p - disappointing, thought they would fly today | morose
18/9/2003 06:33 | Looks like they are promising a divi come the year end. Now the market will like that also !!! We will have an up and down day as folk sell and folk buy but once things settle down further progression will be made towards that £1 figure | trt
18/9/2003 06:29 | fingers crossed | morose
18/9/2003 06:15 | Sorry, Found it now...Full post!!! They look excellent.. | topinfo |
