A lot of miners got clobbered today. Spain is seeking to cap energy costs so hope to have news of that in the next 2 weeks. Energy costs is the only thing holding AtYM back right now (although would also be nice to see Touro permitting progressing)

from nearly $5 to $4.50 is still pretty healthy IMO.

Also, that link in one of posts above, talking of 50% upside to copper price over next 3 years given supply constraints.....DYOR..let's hope this is just "seller" driven rather than "fundamentals" drive.....the 24th will give us the answer to some degree. DYOR

Its jan presentation, OK before the spike in war oil cost, talked of $235m EBITDA for 2022, let's assume $200m given energy price increase....it also talked of FCF of c.$140m, let's assume $100m

EV currently $690m, so we are still on a ridiculous 2-3 X EV/EBITDA and with yield, yet we seem to be heading SOuth?

Views?

Am going to hold and see what the outlook is for the 24th results....DYOR

Lots of Spanish press coverage on acute rises in cost of energy and Alberto saying there needs to be some govt intervention to support businesses. Atym can't build this solar plant fast enough but it will take best part of a year to get up and running from what I understand. Copper prices need to remain elevated and hopefully go higher to offset rise in costs

It was in an email from Carina Corbett from 4C communications. You can see her name at the bottom of each ATYM RNS. She said in an email to me on 8 March "The solar plant has been approved and civil construction is ongoing. Not material enough for a separate RNS although the subject will be included in the quarterly update." Hope that helps. I do think it would have been good to have RNSd it.

Good news - ATYM just confirmed Solar plant approval received and construction ongoing. Not considered material enough for an RNS."

Hi.

What was your source - can't find on web-site - don't doubt you but bit bemused they didn't consider important news. (Perhaps I was just being pedantic about the wording in the TU)

Being reported today....Start of restoration works to legacy environmental issues at Touro
AFAIAA works take place irrespective of any Xunta decision on permits being granted for opening

Works already www.lavozdegalicia.es/amp/noticia/santiago/touro/2022/03/11/cobre-san-rafael-aborda-restauracion-aguas-mina-touro/0003_202203A11C3993.htm' target='window'>https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.lavozdegalicia.es/amp/noticia/santiago/touro/2022/03/11/cobre-san-rafael-aborda-restauracion-aguas-mina-touro/0003_202203A11C3993.htm

San Rafael tge company who promotes the reactivation of copper production in the Touro mine, seems determined to bet on that enclave and the resources it still keeps. After the failure of the first project presented, against which the entire Arousa estuary was raised, the firm seems to have embarked on a new strategy. Yesterday, the company announced the start of the "comprehensive and definitive restoration of the waters of the old mine". This action will involve an investment of 1.9 million euros, says the firm. A money with which an environmental project will be deployed that "responds to a social demand to solve the environmental liabilities inherited" from a mine that closed 35 years ago "according to the standards of the time, which did not have the current level of demand" . The restoration project is already underway, and the forecast is that it will be finished in six months. At that time, a large drainage canal will be built that will prevent rainwater from entering the old waste dump, a structure that was not waterproofed at the time and in which the treatment waste from the ore plant. "The new channel will collect the water before it filters through the installation, thus maintaining its quality," explain the companies involved in this project. They claim to be «undertaking the works for collecting and channeling water that may come into contact with minerals, which will be sent to the two new water treatment plants. These facilities, in an advanced manufacturing process, will process the water until it reaches the ideal conditions for its discharge into natural courses. The project, its promoters explain, also addresses the management of the water accumulated in the historic Vieiro mining hole, "which will be pumped to one of the treatment plants to optimize its quality before being returned to the public channel."

miners - POLY & EVR did ok for me today, but if ATYM drops further I'll be adding again here - no brainer with CU at these levels, a great div yield and a CEO who keeps delivering.

It was a bargain when I bought at 330p. It was a bargain when I didn't sell at record highs near 450p and it is a bargain today at under 400p...

I am just giving a possible rationale for the recent mark downs.. not unique to this stock - I don't see many miners or O&G stocks for that matter on the rise today?!

will have to wait until 24th to find out more I suppose

Hope they banged in a hedge when copper hit $5 this week!

but should oil price or other costs really hit EBITDA materially more than the increase in top line copper price increasing revenues?

Any new broker news?
