My flab would almost be ghasted if we do. But if we get to 7p I will almost be in sight of a profit. If that happens I doubt that I will be able to contain my excitement.

They should quote the highest bid and lowest offer as this would be a much more accurate reflection of the actual market for the share and the mid-price would actually mean something. After all if one mm is bidding, for whatever reason, 151 and the rest are around 155 then clearly no-one is going to buy at 151 ergo the bid price should be shown at 155 or whatever is the highest at the time.

I know how markets work...

The Quote is supposed to be the highest bid and the lowest offer in NMS (normal market size), which is 2500 shares in the case of ATYM...

Frankly 151 is a false bid in my opinion designed to obfuscate the market...

Otherwise, if I was registered to make a market in ATYM shares, I could post bids at 130 and offers at 180 and then the quote would be 130/180...which is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

The Quote is supposed to be meaningful to prospective buyers/sellers...151/158 is pretty useless...especiallly when the LSE algorithm decides that a buy is a sell by taking the mid price...

It's not market manipulation . . . It's simply a reflection of the difference in the bid and offer prices across all the MMs . . . Some people really need to learn how markets work IMHO . . .
