buywell finds this article somewhat of a concern

It explains why SARS-CoV-2 has become so easily transmissible but in doing so opens up a whole can of possibly nasty worms

29 Mar 2020

SARS-CoV-2 Prion-Like Domains in Spike Proteins Enables Higher Affinity to ACE2

buywell notes:

This disease, Covid-19 is killing off vast numbers of elderly people in Care Homes.
Also many people over the age of 75 , where the chances of them having some form of dementia also is a lot higher than people under the age of 60 ( see posts for stats).

The cost of keeping care homes going (increasing daily) and the numbers needing care (increasing daily) plus those elderly people with Alzheimer's ( number one in the dementia category ) and Parkinson's disease (number two) are also growing daily , both numbers and costs.

buywell has posted about these costs escalating and gobbling up big percentages of Health budgets worldwide on this AZN thread.

The authors do not say that these strange shaped spiky β-CoV prion like protein domains are prion proteins.

But IF this disease does return or recur to reinfect the person again after testing clear ( are tests reliable ??) , it still remains a possibility that Covid-19 just might turn out to be lethal like other prion diseases such as Alzheimer's .

But it takes a couple of years or so to do the job.

Phase III underway, what phase are Moderna on? No big issue, as been here since 2009. I do think we are in a different league, yes?

Moderna are making 10x the margin that AZN are on COVID. Discuss. UK being too soft and should be using profits to kick start UK economy in new era of protectionism?

Not the easiest of reports to follow but once you finally get to the 2020/2019 comparative earnings there are a very good set of numbers being reported here. No increase in the dividend also suggests that a lot of money is being ploughed back into the business at the moment. Don't seem much not to like here.
