14/9/2004 13:19 | Hylas....Sorry but what's your problem?... | badabing
14/9/2004 11:03 | They have done the same as a lot of other companies at the moment. 750k is not that much and obviously the long term saving makes it worth while. | idlejack
14/9/2004 09:47 | BadaBing Keep trying, you keep the shares if you think the prospects are so good ! | hylas
14/9/2004 09:30 | Maybe but on the other hand they convinced someone else to finance the deal with shares at 35p....so why would a 3rd party agree to "invest" £750k in this if they weren't looking to make a decent return? | badabing
14/9/2004 09:28 | Yikes! They need to raise £750,000 just to buy themselves out of a contract they entered into in 2002. I wonder if they employ the same contracts manager who signed that deal off! I have been looking since the last warning but this company just seems to be able to produce bad news out of thin air. Risk reward profile not good enough for me yet but will keep an eye on them for the next few months to see where they settle. | salpara111
13/9/2004 10:13 | LONDON (AFX) - AIT Group PLC said it it has reached a deal with a sub-contractor, releasing both parties from the obligations of a support and services agreement originally entered into in March 2002. The company also announced the proposed placement of 2.143 new shares at 35 pence per share, raising a total of 750,000 stg to finance the contract termination agreement. In a statement, the company said it decided to terminate the contract as it was "no longer in the best interests of the company." Under the mutually agreed termination arrangement, AIT will pay the sub-contractor about 600,000 stg. AIT will also incur internal transition costs to effect a smooth and efficient transfer of the support services, including the provision of appropriate capital equipment. These internal costs are currently not expected to exceed 150,000 stg. The net financial result of this arrangement will be neutral for AIT in the current financial year. However, AIT expects substantial ongoing cost savings in the year ending 31 March, 2006 and beyond. The new arrangement will also give AIT more direct control over the provision of its Product and Application Support Services to its 150 customers worldwide, the statement added. | badabing
01/9/2004 14:03 | BadaBing And who has missed the bus ? These were 10p eighteen months ago and 5p not long before that. Why would anyone in their right mind be buying at nearly four to eight times the price. Just because it's droppped a little doesn't make it cheap. | hylas
31/8/2004 23:53 | sounds like someone missed the bus here!...never mind.... | badabing
31/8/2004 22:10 | Someone loaded up with a fist load of these on the 18th - just waiting to offload to the mug punters. Looks like there's a good few about at the moment, so I am sure they will oblige. Wonder how much the idiots will bid it up to ? | hylas
31/8/2004 18:15 | KI, I'm new to this stock but have been following for a year or so. I felt the market had overreacted to the profit warning, hence I bought in last Friday once I saw the price recovering. Am interested in your reading of the profit warning. Do you think they still have a chance of winning the 'significant new Portrait licence to an overseas public service organisation' which was taking longer than anticipated to come to fruition? I read it that it was delayed as opposed to lost and, hence, hope that it will come through early in the next financial year. If that happens, the price could really pick up. | rosethepose
