Had to realise a loss on some of my position following a margin call on the lower price today.

Ok, so predicting a share price of between £5-£10 by 2022 for ARS earlier this week makes me a subtle de-ramper does it?So how would you interpret a ramper?Anyway, end of!!

Jan 1 - the share price was 2.3p. Shakiness needs a reality check. As HB said a few days back, it's a LONG play.

some thoughts on timing from Warren..

"People that think they can predict the short-term movement of the stock market — or listen to other people who talk about (timing the market) — they are making a big mistake," says Buffett. He added, "The nice thing about investing in stocks is that, over time, equities are going to do well.

or additionally..
“...and the lesson about timing is: not only do you not know when to get in, you don’t know when to get out. And when you market-time you got to be right twice. You got to know when to get out and when to get in. And nobody and I really believe this: nobody but nobody can do that."

Some shakiness among larger PIs here and a no news prediction by 2LB of 7p by the end of December (having just sold 2m). Perhaps we should all be selling then! The trouble is, even though LB is probably well in profit on his sales, some of the later comers to the fold would be losing money if they sold now so they have little choice but to sit it out and wait for the news. But is it really that bad? Shares do go up and down and we are after all expecting some very good news.

I agree horneblower, 2lb held around 8M which is more than most and a huge amount of personal risk. He still holds 6M and has stated he's willing to buy more once the situation seems more favourable. Nothing wrong with that. He did detail he's complaints some time back so it's not the biggest surprise to me. Everyone has to do what's right for themselves. I personally haven't sold any (holding 3M) because I know the Beutong licence could drop any day and the price easily get away from me. I'm happy holding and feel comfortable to be in here for the long term for some serious life changing gains

Spot on hb!Whilst 2LB's decision to reduce is bound to have a negative impact on the share price we have to respect him for telling the board. Hopefully he may reverse his decision if the company comes good on their promises albeit a little late!

Yes, guys. This is a well-mannered board. Let's keep it that way.
However, we are here to make money for ourselves, not anyone else. Nobody should feel constrained or in any way have a conscience about selling whenever they feel that is right for them.
Good luck to you all.

2LB - posting messages such as those below during the last few weeks while quietly selling down your position smacks of a lack of integrity at best.

'I am sure there will be updates next week so a good day to be adding.'

'see it as an opportunity for those have have done a pile of research and built up a stake to add even more as short term holders and traders fly in and out.'

'A number of the short termers who do not know or understand the company and the story that is unfolding will have moved on over the past week which is good news.'

'Look at that afternoon chart - what a thing of beauty..'

'20p in 3 months'

I can't blame you 2LB, it would be fair to say that many on here wish they had done the same!My only hope is that ARS management learn by this and maybe hire someone to handle such pr matters on their behalf!!

I don't think there is a downside Mr P - the cash has already appreciated elsewhere rather than the further whack it would have clearly taken just sitting here.

I can still buy back at 12p and be better off - and at those levels and above my core holding will still head rapidly towards seven figures.

Short and long if it is that I wasn't prepared to sit and watch £30k a day disappear - day after day - because of a predictable amateurish communications effort , when it was easier to go along with it and take advantage of it.

ARS should NEVER have given deadlines on Beutong licence. This is something completely out of their control. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned by the Board.

I guess that answers a few questions as to who is selling at these levels!!I appreciate your honesty with the board 2LB but that decision may we'll come back to bite you on the ass! That said I guess many on here are wondering wtf is going on!

https://news.mongabay.com/2017/11/government-revokes-406-mining-permits-in-indonesias-east-kalimantan/amp/This article may put into perspective how MANY permits the Indo govt. looks at. We can assume Beutong just needs to be filed in the 'granted' pile as Steve has rigs lined up ready to go in January.Good luck all LTH
