12/5/2005 17:48 | In previous fundraisings, I seem to remember that private investors were able to subscribe for the shares. Maybe this will be the case for the forthcoming one and we'll be able to get the same price as the market makers like hoodless brennan. | cctrader
09/5/2005 10:30 | Either that, trevor, or someone's just having a punt with less than 3000 quid. Regards, Ian | jeffian
09/5/2005 10:27 | A 258K buy this morning. Someone's confident. | trevor1959

05/5/2005 17:01 | The problem here is that they have announced that they need to raise cash. You can guarantee that their advisers will tell them that a placing is cheaper than a rights issue. This is where the vultures take to the air. At this point you can also be fairly certain that the share price will be pulled down by a huge amount so that the new 'investors' are guaranteed a profit. At this stage, the only likely alternative to a hugely discounted massivelt diluting placing is our old friends that administrators and their £400 an hour fees. Plenty of recent examples of following the above pattern: Screen (as was) announced they mught need some more cash last June when the share price was 6. By December when the placing was announced, share price was 1.5, entire company valued at 600K, 90% dilution at 1p per share. | dmhzx
05/5/2005 11:39 | Anyone checked the website for new contracts ? | knowing
05/5/2005 11:32 | Well assuming they get the funding they need and assuming they finish all existing contracts next financial year and assuming they get paid for them all they should show a whopping cash intake and assuming they get more deals on the books the share price should zoom. Trouble is there are a lot of assumptions there. I agree with the previous comment and am taking the chance to average down a little. Fortunately I never bought at the top when they hit 6p intraday about a year back. Might take a 12 month but there could still be a profit here. All imho of course dyor. You pays your money and takes your chance. Bant | bantam175
05/5/2005 10:43 | just a thought, would the new exec have signed on with this company, putting his rep. and financial future on the line if he suspected that it was going belly up. All the facts must have been known to him, when he signed on. | zooter11
05/5/2005 10:07 | just topped up 30,000 if i lose it, i'ii just stay away from Ledger week. This kind of company is just a gamble. | zooter11
04/5/2005 23:15 | Oh dear, another one for the bin....... I seem to remember these were being ramped big time by The Knowing a month or two back. I am glad I didn't listen to him... | lord butterstock
04/5/2005 23:08 | Yes but let's hope they announce these four awaited contract and the share price then goes to 5p. Nice return from this level. | knowing
04/5/2005 23:05 | kmort00 They have already announced contract wins in the past but the problem seems to be actually being paid for the work. Cash burn is the big worry now. | miamigo
04/5/2005 08:43 | Well despite yesterdays drop they are hardly friendless. Volume considering was quite low and only a few million dived out. I think they'll get the cash they need but that's only my opinion. As always, time will tell. | bantam175
03/5/2005 18:52 | Warnings often come in 3's as many of us know. Too bad for anyone with large investments. H. | hectorp
03/5/2005 13:29 | It looked good at the time glenn, what with that licence etc. Now cap at about one million and I have no idea how they expect to raise more funds. Only got a small holding of 75k left - "free" stock after I traded these yonks ago. These penny shares are risky and I am always happy to get my cash back! | barnetpeter
03/5/2005 13:24 | althoug out months ago I wish id never staretd the thread for this dog gb | glennborthwick
03/5/2005 12:25 | Love to know just what these 'delays' are | noberoony
03/5/2005 11:33 | I am very sorry if investors have lost money on this stock and I have only ever posted comments which have been designed to counter-balance more bullish postings highlighting the upside potential without recognising the corresponding risk. This stock has always reminded me of IFTE (in which I DID lose money!), which similarly provided a 'must-have' aviation service but was insufficiently capitalised to carry it through the early years waiting for those 'lumpy' contracts to arrive and was snapped up by Kidde for a song. I fear this is the fate of ASR, as I forecast in post 697 on 9/2/04. I'm always interested in the language of these announcements; Bill Price may think that raising fresh capital is "appropriate" but I would have said 'essential' is the word he's looking for. However, as other have pointed out the difficulty/dilutive effect of raising fresh equity at current shareprice, I suspect the "other options" he is considering are more likely. If that follows the path set by IFTE, that means falling into the arms of a competitor for a song - or worse, I'm afraid. Good luck to holders. Regards, Ian | jeffian
03/5/2005 10:55 | HugePants- I also thought they were a steal-shame we cannot get it right all the time, but then we would all be rich!!!! | jda
03/5/2005 10:40 | More words of wisdom from the worlds's greatest living investor! Responsible Lad - 26 Apr'05 - 17:23 - 3085 of 3104 ...As in Avoinics they are a sure must for anybodys portfolio. I would even recommend them to orphans and widows. At this price they are a steal. As they say to buy low and to sell high is the art of the game. Rollup rollup, get your orders in. | hugepants |
