I just checked the daily short spreadsheet. The 0.51% is still there. Above it is a short for Ashtead Group. It would be funny if Glg Partners opened a short against the wrong company.

November 30th was when the share price spiked to just under 600 on the Ace winches and brief Trading Update.

I was looking for reasons for the drop today when I noticed that Glg Partners declared a short position of 0.51% on 30th November. Obviously not the reason for today's drop. Just surprised to see it with the company doing well. If the rate of climb continues in the share price surely the short will be costly for them.

I see there is a (very) late trade from Friday of 98,000 shares at 750.45p - presumably a buy.

Nope... so I disobeyed my trading rules and accumulated at 710.
Hopefully, a bounce off the 20dMA (at 705) or the closest round number.
Upside still 800...

On a TA basis a break-above the 736 closing highs would indicate a near term TP of 800.
But, as the saying goes, if you have crystal balls, be careful when you sit down...

(I am a buyer of break-outs, especially new highs or, as Jesse Livermore said: "I become a buyer as soon as a stock makes a new high on its movement after having had a normal reaction.")
