26/8/2021 23:18 | Dearing is part of the problem. Always was and should not be trusted. I doubt he is doing any of this gratis. He'll bleed the company dry doing us a favour. Close it down and distribute any of the cash remaing now before it all disappears. | skidaddle
26/8/2021 19:47 | Plasybryn: you need to keep the lid on mate. Your reference to the Chinese still is pathetic. They are long gone. We only need to deal with Ian Dearing who clearly has no shareholders interest at heart. There is nothing left in this mining business. Would not surprise me if you are a mouth piece for Ian Dearing. In fact you sound a lot like that rat Niall Henry. You are a very suspicious character | silenzi01
26/8/2021 19:41 | Not misleading anyone, just feeding back what I obtained. Take it or leave it. Others might be interested. | plasybryn
26/8/2021 19:34 | @Plasybryn, you need to stop misleading people, mate. I don't know who you are but we are not idiots. This whole thing needs to come to an end. We want what little we can claw back. I am not up for another 5 year wait so that Dearing can conjure up a recipe so that he himself can get back his money. He is in it for himself. WE WANT WHAT WE CAN GET BACK IN CASH! ENOUGH OF THIS CON! | silenzi01
26/8/2021 18:55 | Well this might be of interest. This is a response I've managed to elicit from the Co.this afternoon. So bang up to date. See what you make of it. Disappointingly there are no indications of timescales, but at least it confirms things still rumble on. As I said before, don't give up hope just yet. The Board has a vested interest (shareholdings) which aligns their objectives with ours. "The present state of affairs is that the board is trying to bring the group back to good standing in all jurisdictions. This is proving to be a more time consuming and difficult task than initially envisaged owing to having to deal with the consequences of inattention to subsidiaries during administration and the apparent stain which has followed administration making every step more difficult in these already difficult times. Even now we are turning over stones and finding out things that were done by Ning and Kwan which would have been difficult enough to deal with when there was an infrastructure in place. Now, without an infrastructure, these things are proving very difficult to deal with. The only comfort to anybody is that the board is focussed upon trying to secure a return for shareholders for all". | plasybryn
25/8/2021 23:43 | I, for one, are grateful for you following through on this. Please feel free to state that you are representing the interests of several ASA shareholders, still hoping to get some return on their past investment. Best wishes, John | bcape
25/8/2021 16:51 | silenzi01: Well he got back to braid according to his earlier post. This is the email I have sent. He got back to me this morning asking me for evidence that I am a shareholder. I have now given him the details, so hopefully, the questions below will be answered soon. Dear Mr Dearing Following a conversation with a representative from Duff and Phelps, it was recommended that I contact you. I am a shareholder in ASA Resources and would be grateful if you, as the company secretary/director, could address the following questions: 1. How much money was returned when ASA Resources came out of administration last year? 2. How much money does the company currently have? 3. Where is the money being held? 4. What plans are in place for this money? 5. Ultimately, is the intention to return what value is left to the shareholders? Many thanks for your consideration But not sure if he has answered the questions yet. The Administrator should be able to give you his email. I believe he is a Solicitor and practices up north somewhere I think. No point calling him names or getting stroppy, as that won't get us very far imo. | plasybryn
25/8/2021 16:45 | Hi, does anyone know how to get Dearing's contact details? From the administrator? I find it disgusting to read someone here made an effort to get in touch only to be ignored. Scumbag | silenzi01
25/8/2021 16:37 | Never give up. Never say never! | plasybryn
25/8/2021 15:00 | I emailed Dearing months ago asking the same type of questions. I didn’t get a reply. I would rather see any money that is left divided up between the shareholders. Time to move on from this one as I see it going nowhere. | gpgreen
23/8/2021 18:08 | I second that hope, forlorn as it is. Months ago, I suggested a “wipe-out?R | iamald
23/8/2021 17:07 | That is encouraging Braid. A quick reply indicates there is life somewhere!!It would be great to know how the business continues to operate. It seems strange there is apparently no legal/regulatory requirement to keep shareholders collectively informed. But perhaps your email will remind them there are still shareholders out there some with sizeable interests. | plasybryn
23/8/2021 17:06 | Thank you for sharing and asking pertinent questions on behalf of the shareholders. Lets hope the slippery man doesn't try to dodge your questions. | silenzi01

23/8/2021 06:47 | Well done braid. Fingers crossed | plasybryn
22/8/2021 21:46 | I have emailed Ian Dearing with a range of questions relating to ASA. I will notify all when/if I get a response. If not I'll telephone him. | braid
17/6/2021 17:52 | bcape: Can I ask what is your source of news? | plasybryn
17/6/2021 08:43 | Still no news... only the Board Chairman is left in control with the balance of the funds. | bcape
16/6/2021 22:27 | I was getting excited then seeing a new post but false alarm | plasybryn
16/6/2021 20:46 | any recent news on this dog ?? | morvah99
14/4/2021 09:10 | If there is any cash then a special dividend should be paid out. Any board members left deserve nothing from the debacle. They will only waste it or syphon it off in salaries. | skidaddle
13/4/2021 17:38 | We were certainly cheated one way or another... only the Chinese, the new buyers, the Administrators & their lawyers made any money... in retrospect, we would have better off taking the low ball offer it seems. There were a few millions left with the Board Chairman & some smaller issues to resolve but no debts left. Heard nothing since, neither a proposal to split the balance as a special dividend nor any investment plan as a cash shell. | bcape |
