21/3/2014 12:59 | The placing RNS was ambiguous, & has been bugging me. So have rang investor relations for clarification. Main points.... 1. Placing has been completed 2. Would not confirm the price. Asked about the 230p quoted in the press. Would not confirm or deny. 3. Up to investors as & when they disclosure they new holdings.. On a separate note, Jupitor Asset manager did not buy 5%. They previously held 4.6M shares & bought a further 5.6M shares which triggered the 5% threshold 41M shares were placed, of which we only know about Jupiter taking 5.6M. Will find out in due course who has taken the rest Cheers, JD2 | jakedog2
21/3/2014 11:29 | yup the shares were placed at 230p :o) | nurdin
21/3/2014 09:56 | I see Jupiter Asset managers have bought over 5m shares in the placing...they must have felt confident about Arrows prospects to make such a large commitment... Cue Stemis :o) | nurdin
21/3/2014 09:53 | The shares have been placed with Institutions, that is the tone of the announcement. The two RBS non exec directors have also stepped down ahead of the end of the formal lock in period. The term 'agreement' refers to, I think, agreement to dispose the shares through a placing with Institutions rather than a public offering. I also think that the lock in period can be brought forward with the agreement of Companys advisors, but wtfdik. | nurdin
21/3/2014 08:40 | Am I right in assuming that RBS shares have not yet actually been placed since they are locked in till 6 April but, instead, an agreement has been reached to place them ? | montynj
20/3/2014 16:04 | RBS were happy for ARW to float at 205p so presumably happy to take 230p (if that's the price). No doubt we'll find out soon who bought and eventually (even if its in their financial statements) at what price. | stemis
20/3/2014 15:44 | should provide a floor for the shares at 230 then. The weakness recently has been explained by rbs placing. I would top up if there was further weakness. | pyemckay
20/3/2014 14:53 | Also who bought it from RBS, they need update major holding soon, b interesting to see the mane of the buyer. | jk1206
20/3/2014 13:17 | Yes I agree..strange | nurdin
20/3/2014 13:01 | nurdin, I've heard on the grapevine that its been done at 230p . Weird they didn't say at what price in the RNS considering it was already done and dusted. | miti 1000
20/3/2014 11:21 | looking at L2 bots in control. 230p sells going through constantly & being soaked up Will these be the placed shares going through..... or is someone else dumping? | jakedog2
20/3/2014 10:51 | I cant imagine that the placing price would have been at a significant discount to yesterdays closing price....otherwise the share price would have fallen far more than it has...all imo | nurdin
20/3/2014 10:43 | They hit the profit they wanted. Remember RBS are still in all sorts of financial trouble....I think/hope that with the overhang gone and a bit more certainty behind it that ARW will start to rise again. | fargonorthdakota
20/3/2014 10:28 | ....& why offload now ? What has changed from IPO to dump the whole lot, rather that reduce stake ? Thinking out loud here..... | jakedog2
20/3/2014 10:08 | Yes would be interesting to know.. | nurdin
20/3/2014 10:04 | Interesting that RBS sold its stock whilst still subject to the lock in. I wonder what price it took place at. | stemis
20/3/2014 08:55 | stock market is going sideways very hard for a stock to make headway against the current. hold the quality stocks thru' the downs and the sideways and you you will be delighted to still be holding when the ups happen. But you will get periods of all of them. Buffet has shown that buying into solid companies with good management and then holding forever, is the way to build wealth. Mind, he has the patience of Job and waits for a slump in order to buy. And he doesn't sell his good ones at all, even when they are booming. | malcontent
20/3/2014 08:26 | nurdin, great call earlier regarding RBS offloading as reason for share price weakness | jakedog2
20/3/2014 08:26 | Trading on a pe of 13.7 for 2014 and 11.2x for 2015 at 230p.Yes I know I am using PE as a metric but that is the best metric to use according to the man in charge of the purse string at ARW :o) | nurdin
20/3/2014 08:25 | Not surprised it's started lower - typical stockmarket - unpredictable and irrational. Likely to finish blue IMO | baxter99
20/3/2014 08:18 | Big monkey off our back! | aishah
20/3/2014 08:17 | Added here | nw99
20/3/2014 08:14 | Suspect we will motor now :o) | nurdin |
