Interested to know which other gold stocks some of the regulars on here are in? Ive had a few at different times over the last couple of years but have normally lost patience just about breaking even and moved funds here.

Thanks, biggles. Rick Rule is certainly deserving of my patience to read what he writes. I would single out one statistic from this piece:

"From an intraday high of 1,855.09 on 9/9/11, the GDM Index declined 81.27% to a low of 347.41 on 1/19/16. It is fair to say that any asset class shedding four-fifths of its value over a four-year period is unlikely to breed a broad class of dedicated constituents. On the other hand, it is from such misery that compelling investment propositions are spawned."

The corresponding figure for junior gold miners (on AIM, say) would probably be in the range 90–95%, even if we only count the survivors, albeit things having picked up a bit for them since 2016. Everything RR says applies a fortiori to the juniors.

The most curious fact about Plasybryn's posts being voted down is that people feel this is a productive use of their time!

Hi
Good to see gold up, though silver doesn't seem that interested in joining in. I saw the Ariana tweet about zinc - can someone educate me here, have we got a zinc by-product?
I cant see why Plasybryn would be voted down by anyone, certainly isn't me because I value his input.
I am not a premium member, being a poor pensioner! I have noticed that sometimes posts 'go missing', which is annoying if it is one of my longer missives! I will appreciate the irony if this is one of them

It does appear Plas has upset a couple of premium subscriber trolls for some reason. Quite unfair imho.

Plasybryn CSSF does not have you blocked, if he had he would just not be able to read your posts not the other way round.

If someone could tell Playbryn that I’ve not blocked him, I’d appreciate it. I can see his posts. Weird. He’s not missing much though!

Plasbryn,

For some reason every post you make is voted down twice. Have you picked up some critics along the way?

Gold up $20 in 15 hours. Is this the end of the year long cup and handle? The four year head and shoulders? Nah, probably not, but stranger things have happened.

Sorry was referring to Salinbas . I agree re tarsvan. Ties in nicely to finish debt then start loan on tarsvan with 12 month befor they have to repay it this giving them funding from profit to exploit full potential of Salinbas for sale or JV.

Bigglesbingham the permitting question on Tavsan is answered.
Still get the opinion they are in no rush there.

That's a plan for the indebted central banks, buy physical gold, manipulate he price to ridiculous high price and wipe out all their debts. They've held the price down, now they could do the opposite.

Hopefully this should help!

Under "Basel III" Rules, Gold Becomes Money!
Article from Zero Hedge which may be of interest. Here is a section:
If banks own and possess gold bullion, they can use that asset as equity and thus this will enable them to print more money. It may be no coincidence that as March 29th has been approaching banks around the world have been buying huge amounts of physical gold and taking delivery. For the first time in 50 years, central banks bought over 640 tons of gold bars last year, almost twice as much as in 2017 and the highest level raised since 1971, when President Nixon closed the gold window and forced the world onto a floating rate

And

The only way governments can manage the levels of debt that threaten the financial survival of the Western world is to inflate (debase) their currencies. The ability to count gold as a reserve from which banks can create monetary inflation is not only to allow gold to become a reserve on the balance sheet of banks but to have a much, much higher, gold price to build up equity in line with the massive debt in the system.
