26/2/2019 23:14 | Thank you Plas. Biggles, I also do not think it is Eldorado thank you for your input on that score. They have a good deal with AAU and would want them to suceed. Now that leaves HSDL shares with their 60m shares or someone else. I'm not sure if i have the right HSDL but it appears that it might be a shell company registered in Bermuda with maybe £1m which went into AAU at around 1.6p and now they are cashing in. I've probably got hold of the wrong end of the stick, all surmising. Maybe you can throw some light on it all ? | swallowsflysouth
26/2/2019 19:15 | Sorry 34m to 170m been a long day!! | bigglesbingham
26/2/2019 19:14 | So was it a five bagger Plas not a 50 bagger. Ie 17m to 170m for 30%? | bigglesbingham
26/2/2019 19:12 | Can't see eldorado selling. Sorry to harp on about the site visit but there was a decent guy there from eldorado and I did ask whether they were going to let AAU do all ground work in finding gold at salinbas then move in and buy AAU on the cheap. He laughed but said they were happy with the royalty deal, it suited them because they were concentrating on other larger projects. By keeping the shares they make profit and keep close to the AAU story. All conjecture but salinbas results come anywhere like what they expect the sharks like sandstorm eldorado will come sniffing. Point is it may be taken out early but only when we have a better idea of salinbas. No one is interested in the kiziltepe tarsvan share in JV it's too messy imho for a purchase. One point to make is if we are taken out it's likely to be significantly higher than 2p which is what interests any new investors. | bigglesbingham
26/2/2019 18:20 | Spot on Swallow - there was a consolidation at MARL, hence people getting very confused & mislead by the numbers they are banding about. | plasybryn
26/2/2019 17:58 | I was only trying to stress the dangers of dilution which this share can avoid. For me the number of shares in issue shows me if a company issues shares at the drop of a hat or only when it has to. I would not invest in a company that does a placing every couple of weeks and has billions of shares in issue such as say vast. Ps I invested in a copper explorer once which done more share consolidations and placings and change of names. Learnt from my mistske | robizm
26/2/2019 17:54 | I have made a amaturish attempt to calculate how many shares been sold by big seller. Difficult to calculate number of shares sold but think it started around mid-September and averaged around 10m a month. Bigger holder(HSDL) has around 60m shares and around Next biggest 40m (El Dorado). They must be running out of shares to sell ? Anyone got any ideas on this ? Probably missed something totally significant. | swallowsflysouth
26/2/2019 17:49 | Agreed Charles Clore. | crossfirecssf
26/2/2019 17:42 | I think it would be good to calm down and consider the possibilities here. If someone has a million of these @ 2p and they go to 20p thats a ten bagger in my book. Quite an achievement but thats a market cap of just 200m. With a couple of mines producing 50-60k oz per annum with a profit of say £20m to AAU PLUS Salinbas with say 4m oz in ground that £200m mc would still be quite cheap. So at that point I would up my target to say, 40p. | charles clore
26/2/2019 17:40 | thank you shortarm i spotted it asap, just not quite soon enough lol | swallowsflysouth
26/2/2019 17:37 | 30%, sold for 170 million dollars I think. | shortarm
26/2/2019 17:36 | From memory i believe at some stage MARL did a share consolidation of 10 to 1. Again from memory didn't they only own 30% of Hot Maden ? All unimportant as we are a different company with what appears to be a different kind of au deposit at Salinbas. We also have a working mine be it small it is highly profitable. Very different management | swallowsflysouth
26/2/2019 17:36 | What a tool! | shortarm
26/2/2019 17:33 | Ok, not following these arguments, its 'baggyness' will depend on how big its assets eventually turn out to be compared to its current MC, I don't see it has anything to do with the number of shares in issue. Perhaps its me. Ps I have 2 maths degrees, a BSc and an MSc. And I'm off to the pub. | jaynesdad
26/2/2019 17:23 | I am pretty sure gold is only going one way due to the amount of debt in the world economy especially the west. Central banks are loading up on it to get the debt inflated away. | robizm
26/2/2019 17:18 | Janesdad it was a 25 bagger not ten and it is a lot easier with a smaller number of shares in issue. Therefore 130 million at 2p is a lot easier than 1 billion at 2p. Perhaps it my maths degree thst makes the difference in number of shares jump out. 10 time 25 times either will be welcome | robizm
26/2/2019 17:14 | If MARL 25-bagged from 2p and had 130 million shares in issue it must have had an initial market cap of £2.6m. Was it that much of a tiddler??? | crossfirecssf
26/2/2019 17:05 | But 10x more growth than MARL would be exceptionally welcomed, however many shares in issue :-) | dixi
26/2/2019 17:05 | Nope. No matter how many shares are in issue, 1 or a billion, you just need the market cap to go up 10 fold for a 10 bagger. | jaynesdad
26/2/2019 17:04 | That makes no sense - it is all down to the market cap not how many shares, What was the mcap of MARL before it took off? That is the relevant figure. | dixi
26/2/2019 17:01 | yes but if you have 10 times more shares you need 10 times more growth thus easier to 25 bag with 130 million shares than a billion hope that helps. | robizm |
