Yellow Jersey responses to AGM resolution voting:

1. “The AGM votes were conducted by a show of hands and all resolutions were voted through on that basis, with a representative from Computershare present in the room counting the votes. All resolutions were carried unanimously, with no dissenting votes. There was therefore no requirement to rely on the proxy votes, which is what has been published before.

We intend to publish the proxy votes on the website nevertheless. We are required, however, to share this information with the market all at once, rather than with one individual, and we are liaising with Computershare to do so as soon as possible.

Once this information is able to be shared on the website, we will notify you.”

2. “While the company encouraged shareholders to cast their proxy votes, it is prescribed in the company’s articles that General Meeting voting may take place by a show of hands or proxy. As all the resolutions voted for proxy were carried, with 90% or more in favour, it was decided a voting by show of hands was appropriate. This was agreed by the board and by Computershare.

It should be noted that neither the MD nor the Chairman’s shareholdings were included in the proxy tally due to processing errors at Barclays’ end.

Again, should you require further clarification or have any further questions, please kindly contact: hxxps://www.computershare.com/uk/business/other/contact-us”

If I had ten percent and price was 2 penny I'd still have less value than I do now. Ultimately share price will increase but I think that will be through positive info flow than buyback. Take two million put in via newmont which effectively diluted that didn't have much of effect admittedly opposite to buyback but share price doesn't seem to react to buybacks with minnows. But I may be wrong. I'd rather they find a gem to invest into.

"Just don’t think it will increase share price and that’s what I’m bothered about"

I'm not trying to be funny, but
- you're obviously here for the long term
- you were still buying recently
- you don't want the company to raise money in the market

why do you care about the short term share price? A buyback would help propel you towards 5% without even having to click your mouse.

edit: I'm not trying to argue for a buyback here.

fwiw, a view from the sidelines;

the gold market is manipulated with the blessing of powerful u.s. entities to aid gold shorting, with the aim of keeping pog subdued. that does not help gold traders regardless whether usd based or some other currency.

why do u.s. entities want pog subdued? because a rising pog indicates a weakening dollar.

usd is essentially a bankrupt currency, but everyone (i.e. govts and large powerful banks and instis) holds so much of the stuff - effectively loans to the u.s. govt. with little hope they will ever be repaid in full - that they dont want to see it collapse.

one day something might trigger a 'reset' - for example if china has finished positioning itself by buying foreign assets and gold with its usd reserves thus winding down its trillions in usd reserves to the point where a usd collapse would not unduly concern the chinese govt whilst at the same time positioning the renminbi as an alternative global reserve currency - then the pog in usd terms will rocket and may even get to the point that there is no market for gold in usd.

its unlikely to be elegant or smooth and most likely few winners and many losers, probably the main thing is not be caught holding usd if/when it happens.

Gold has held up much more strongly in Sterling terms which is good for anyone holding physical gold.

Which allows dollar based speculators to thrive whilst the rest of us struggle with a more fixed price.

yup, difficult to fathom.

could it be the short manipulators are holding sway at the moment, they would certainly have u.s. govt backing because a rising pog is no good for usd.

as for cryptos, i havent a clue.

It has always been said that PoG rises in time of war and inflation. At the moment we have both but this effect is being resisted. Some would say the opposite is true at the moment. It has been said that Cryptos could effect these long seen relationships - except they aren't doing well either! Who knows konil, I certainly don't.
