Crazy 900k of mainly sell drops it by 5pct, at these prices the company should look at buying some shares back now they have a wad of cash, I guess they still have to create distributable reserves which they should sort out the voting on asap

Dealing costs would make some of the trades financial unviable surely ?

I have not felt comfortable with the way the trading has been for quite a while, does not strike me as quite natural somehow. ie silly small trades, a decent size buy then the opposite occurs.

Yes, you are right as non of them big. Cant see the logic of selling a share with such prospects. None are likely to have made an appreciable capital gain unless very long term holders - don't forget there have been no dividends to make gains less necessary in terms of overall return.

Well I have decided to wait and see if the price finds support at 1.6p. I could see my way clear to another 600k at that price, but I think I will have to be quick.

The share price doesn't particularly annoy me, though after buying some its a bit galling when it goes down! Its still the same company with the same assets and the same prospects no matter what happens to the share price Low share price would of course be detrimental to current shareholders if there were to be a fundraise, which isn't planned, and I suppose it could prompt a cheeky takeover attempt.

Lots of shares down today many more than us. I would say we have held up well.

The share price has always largely disappointed, there are too many short termers who sell out a short time after a RNS for a profit. You can't blame them; other than the management and the hardcore holders/posters, there is precious little interest in this small, overlooked gem of a company. Salinbas is held up as the totem for future advance plus the end of debt repayments, I'm sure the rewards will come but slower than hoped for so disappointment is a trait you have to learn to grin and bear with here.

I know. properly annoying! Everytime we appear to be gathering strength the drift back starts. Two steps forward (at least) one step back

They can only issue so many rnss . These quiet times will clear out weaker holders who haven't bought into the story. Or who are sat on profits and want to crystallise

Yes it is quiet but what does that mean for AAU? A nice uplift in price could be on the cards if gold goes higher imho

'... you underestimate the power of public sentiment..'. Sorry don't understand that, but never mind!
I do agree that 100% ownership obviously gives the board more options under their sole control, but lets see how big the deposit is first. The pace of exploration is obviously restricted by the relative lack of funds available and the reluctance of investors to sanction further fund raises. That fine and, given the likely cash to be thrown off from W Turkey, it should mean maximising returns for existing shareholders at the expense of an elongated exploration process. The only danger as NE Turkey slowly unfolds, assuming it does successfully, is that we risk an unwanted takeover.

My intuition tells me to expect a positive breakout for PM's out of the current trading range in May this year.

JC2706, Yes the producing operation is a bit on the small side but the high profit margins give it a edge over large operations with smaller margins. I don't think it would be that difficult to upgrade if sufficient resources are found to justify a upgrade.
