Seems crazy now.If I'd said to you a few weeks back when arb below 10p that we'd be 50p first week of jan you'd have spat your tea out then.ARBs are very rare. Don't take a few hundred percent and congrat yourself when a 50 bagger is still on the table. If you believe BTC is going to 100k then why sell ARB below a fiver?

SNF, almost spat my tea out reading that S2F post. Lol.

Sticking with £1 by end of Jan or maybe end of the week at this rate. Incredibly happy with where it’s got over the last 3months.

Good luck all holders

Re £2 possible - we are still at the reasonable valuation stage based on current BTC pricing (and low valuation compared to peers) ... throw in higher pricing PLUS let's assume we get into bubble territory with valuation and who knows, maybe £10 mentioned by Suffers is not so crazy (how about we apply a TSLA PE at the top of the crypto cycle?) - what does the price then look like at say $100k BTC, plus sky high PE??

If BTC breaks above the weekly channel of 33k again 46-48k will come quickly. In which case £2 will be too cheap.

bmwman3 - wish I had followed your advice at 15p!!! But yes, that is my policy now ... even selling to buy back on short spike higher is not easy to get right with spreads widening on way down and dips been frantically bought in BTC - so dropping bid a few p, but not really the offer.

PS
eg. At the same rate as December, another 50% capacity would generate roughly £1.5 mln contribution. x 12 for the year = £18mln. Then minus the depreciation and overheads and you can see possible profit levels and where 100p share price might come from.

SNF, think we may see £1 sooner rather than later as you say....whether £2 is possible, really not sure, but BTC seems to be consolidating around that $30k mark nicely, so let's see....continuing to enjoy the ride!

"It’s always been the case that the margin has not met expectations for a number of reasons." That is a bizarre statement, given that the last two margins were 57% and 60%.

Fortunately, figures for ARB are very transparent and we can all check on the facts, whether we like them or not, they are facts...

Here's the last few margins starting at May: 34/27/34/44/37/40/57/60

Interim margin was 39%, same period in 2019 was 76%.

All anyone needs to do is to multiply the monthly revenue by the margin, to get the contribution. Then take off depreciation and overheads. Then you can see how much profit might be made.

Its one of the easiest businesses to do that with. Whether you like what comes out is something else. Its clear that the contribution could fly around all over the place if the margin AND the number of bitcoins mined jump around.

imo the next significant figure will be the revenue and margin when the increased capacity comes online. Then it will be easier to have a jab at full year.

I've NEVER been disappointed hootza by the monthly updates! 60% margin is both a record and huge. 100p before January trading update imo.

PS - buying some dips on BTC on IG while still allowed to - would do same on ARB (in ISA) if were any dips and did not widen the spread so much when does dip ...

Re announcements always disappointing, don't think that is a fair comment.

Post BTC halving, when other miners were losing money, ARB was still reporting strong margins. Polkadot / new deals have all been upside. As I pointed out, ZEC was clearly going to disappoint this month, as first month with full effect of halving, plus no price increase to compensate. But, if you think the catalyst is December's results, you have it wrong ... as pointed out earlier, confirmation of Feb for new rigs was pretty positive (OTC announcement will also be). Yes, would have liked higher revenue / BTC (which are below my Dec forecast - although contribution margin up 17% month on month), but adding 31 BTC to treasury worth ~$1m not too bad.

Everytime I think of selling a bit, it just goes higher ... so cannot see any reason to profit take myself at this stage (Edit: already trimmed overweight position to be on a free ride way too early at ~15p), but cannot fault anyone choosing to do so.
