Was that a deliberate missing out of certain parts including "limited downside" and that he would only dump if nothing positive develops?

Here's the full text FWIW:

Just heard from Paul Scott on foolboard - he sold 100,000 shares this morning at 19p. That seems to be what caused this fall today. He still holds 400,000 shares.

Bought some at 18.25p. I was too busy messing around with my model railway and missed the opportunity.

Oops!

Online Sell size down from 100K @ 17.25 to max 10K @ 17.2 following that 100K dump. May be further downside to come yet.

I stopped trading ARK long ago when I started to smell a rat. Something is very wrong here. I gave a few thoughts about MM short positions in an earlier post. I'm a full time trader and it's been clear for some time to me that something is happening beneath the surface we know nothing about. I have been warning people about the dangers of trading ARK for more than a year! It has always been a 'mystery share'. Part of the problem is the large amount of MMs for such a thinly traded share, ( a hangover from it's flotation days when it was a billion pound share and saw lots of action, the next ARM apparantly!! ) this leaves the price open to all sorts of manipulation.

Good luck to all holders....you're gonna need it!

Well my stop just got hit - so I am out for a 19% loss which I guess is painless compared to some in here.

I will keep watching, but given the relative performance of ARK, it does not bode well.

mad4IT, have to agree with post 252, action on this share is bizarre to say the least. Management do not seem to have a clue how to boost the shareprice, RNS newsflow is non-existent, deals are constantly being put back to the next Qtr & according to the other thread the staff remuneration @ ARK is the highest in the sector. Although it trades at a discount to the cashpile, no-one is buying - share has hit an all-time low today, why no bounce with the rally from March?

I have no position, having traded in the past with mixed success. Volumes up to today were tapering off towards zero & I had been anticipating an MM squeeze to drum up trade - is this it or something more sinister?

Yuk - but waiting to buy another holding.

Didn't expect this drop, if I'm honest.

I'm not prone to outbursts about shares in this way, but ARK is 'all wrong' and has been for a long time. I'm telling you folks, something stinks here.

kiwihope, dont forget its the shareholders whom own companies- we can scream and shout!

fact is it appears we are currently paying these guys well above market rates and if things continue as is our company is doomed

first step is they have to bring the staff costs/employee back to ARMs levels.

there has to be a sea change in culture at this company. they have to learn you dont get something for nothing. they have to learn to meet or beat revenue targets

This was taken from ARMs latest results:

..............

LONDON (AFX) - Tim Score, finance director of microchip designer ARM
Holdings PLC, said he expects the improving trend in licensing activity to
continue into 2004.
Coupled with continued upward pressure on royalties, it should enable the
group to return to growth next year, said Score on a conference call.
"Licensing activity is on an improving trend, which we expect to continue,"
Score told reporters.

...............

We need to see a similar statement from ARK in January about Q4. If not then maybe we should start to get a bit concerned.

Best we can hope for is good news from sector peers - that might rub off here a bit - though it hasn't to date!

I agree with your analysis knife but I guess there's nothing we small holders can do.
