AQP up nicely today, looks like a Banks and
Mining day and other stocks being effected by
DOW debt ceiling ongoing problems.

Think a fuel cell for a typical car needs 30 grams of Pt.
So I guess will need 5 times less using aerogel techniques. Makes fuel cells far more viable.

Guess China putting a lot of catalytic convertors on vehicles now. Think at present that is about 5 to 10 grams per car

Started looking at SLP. What are you thoughts on this one. All Platinum companys appeared to have all followed the same Share Price pattern. Nice to see SLP with some profit now and again.

Very interesting.
Just wonder if demand is going to increase for platinum.
-Hyundai have starting supplying fuel cell cars which contain platinum.
-There is the "London Hydrogen Network Expansion" scheme. No doubt other Cities/Countries are pursuing.
-Platinum can be more efficiently used which will make fuel cells far more cheaper to make so greatly increasing demand.

Reason for the rise is consolidation coming in the sector - An AQP ELR merger would be good. ELR have $100m cash, no debt, trade at 35% discount to their net cash have 80m oz resource next door to AQP's asset base, and $500m spent on infrastructure. Joining forces to regroup staff and other synergies would seem a sensible move and create massive value for AQP. AQP could even take over ELR for less than the $100m ELR have in cash at the moment and get everything else for nothing,,seems a no brainer.

Seems a strange jump - not normally this amount of volume and no major news expected as the company said they were trying to cut costs by taking shares as part payment - who knows ? Maybe we will know shortly

AQP was given to me as a very strong tip one month ago.The person who gave me the tip had previously given me 4 other tips over the last year. All have performed exceptionally well.
Interesting that directors are taking shares as part of remuneration. Must be a good signal.

If the board are willing to take payments in shares instead of money that to me says there is a feeling of confidence that the share price will rise over time .. As they would not be wanting to make losses

Interesting how they can change rating to underperformance but up target from 39 p to 49p - strange how useless they were to still have a 39 p price tag .... They have no idea

Just posted a chart for AQP on BGEO. Don't know about fundamentals, but chart does look interesting, as do many miners atm. Are we looking at the secular upturn?
