10/12/2021 15:40 | Current situation reminds me of the time Alistair Kerr was CEO. He was a talker and spender. Delivered nothing and took share price from about 90p to 12p until PJ sacked him. We're at that point again about now I reckon but without a PJ figure | powerp2
10/12/2021 09:31 | This company seems to be just languishing | powerp2
24/11/2021 21:37 | Yes, still a tad disappointing but not as bad as expected in my view so surprised by the price decline. At least we get a new Chairman soon who may shake things up. This is fundamentally a great business, so should attract a good chairman, but I think we need a fundamental Board shake-up - the CEO needs replacing with a tech savvy leader in my view. At least the cost base is starting to show signs of reducing. There is a big opportunity for the right person. | topvest
24/11/2021 15:25 | 2million traded today with 6% price fall | powerp2
24/11/2021 13:11 | Appointment of chairperson Predictive text is a pain | powerp2
24/11/2021 13:09 | Of him being a BS merchant | powerp2
24/11/2021 13:08 | Thanks Tomps2 It sounds just like the last one and the one before.... Yes we had COVID lockdown but they've been at this for 3 years ; to reduce the companys capitalisation value by over 65% -not listed as an achievement which is just as well as they'd say there's more to do! The CEO badly reads through a script which is jargon heavy but detail and specific action light. After giving him the benefit of the doubt i have come down on the side within being a BE merchant. I hope I'm wrong. The sale film of the new Chairperson is critical | powerp2
24/11/2021 10:51 | Appreciate Group H1 presentation to analysts by CEO & CFO, given 23.11.21. Video: Podcast: | tomps2
24/11/2021 10:50 | Covid decimated the business, but it can recover. 1,6p dividend can be expected for this year, we should be around 30p right now. London market is so depressing. Looking at the chart everybody is under water who bought in after 2010. | petrencf
24/11/2021 10:13 | Agreed Good business still here but clowns running it I'm afraid | powerp2
24/11/2021 09:15 | Vulnerable to a bid down here imv. | cfro
23/11/2021 14:51 | Market unimpressed New smart Chairperson then put CEO and FOR under scrutiny to date they have just destroyed 65% of the company's value. I reckon I could have done that! | powerp2
23/11/2021 12:43 | How annoying is that news about the Valley Road resale. Such news is embarrassing for the Directors as they look commercially niave, at our expense. I've said it before we need to appoint a strong commercially savvy Chairperson ASAP | powerp2
23/11/2021 10:19 | APP always makes a loss in the first half as a large part of its overheads occur in this half (gaining & retaining customers) whilst profits are booked in the second half when vouchers are redeemed over Christmas. It has shifted a bit as gift/reward voucher business has shifted more to year round business but there is still a heavy Christmas bias.I agree we have a fair way to go & the jury is still out whether the old "Christmas Club" customers will return in the same numbers.APP sold its Valley Road site at a bargain price last year as it has been resold at a much higher price(double). | 1tx
23/11/2021 08:37 | You reading same report as me cfro? Even CEO can only claim "resilient" | powerp2
23/11/2021 07:44 | Surprisingly good results. Revenues up nearly 50% and billings up nearly 20% is fantastic although still a pre-tax loss of £2m. Pleased to see the dividend up 50% to 0.6p. Outlook still looking shaky but billings up to Nov 21st are £37m which is broadly inline with previous years more or less. All depends on the all important Christmas season coming up. | cfro
08/11/2021 08:32 | Some 1m+ volume days at the end of last week? Only just spotted. | boonkoh
04/11/2021 19:29 | A bit more patience is needed here and not PJ, who probably does not even have an email address! | mr5k
29/10/2021 21:05 | You are right there, he is definitely not a computer expertWhen I knew him he had to get everything done by someone else | 11toes
26/10/2021 13:31 | All very good points boonkoh. | cfro
26/10/2021 12:53 | Don't see why this is drifting.I get Q4 comparative to last Xmas is difficult, as many companies did away with Xmas parties and gave vouchers instead. But with the rising cases and likely a rallying call to protect the NHS, I can see many companies not having a party again this year.Plus, consumers will buy more vouchers for gifting. Because the in demand items will be sold out everywhere. "here's a voucher for the value, get it when it's back in stock in Jan"And then there's businesses buying more vouchers, to prevent employee churn and bribe employees to stay rather than jump ship in this hot jobs market.I've filled up my boots to my maximum level based on this shares liquidity :) | boonkoh
26/10/2021 08:55 | Can't 11toes it's a totally digitally enabled business now and not his bag at all. | powerp2
25/10/2021 21:19 | Bring Peter Johnson back to run things | 11toes |
