23/2/2018 15:15 | Do you have anyone particular in mind Stig? | investordave
23/2/2018 13:22 | Yes I had the feeling that the quote might be an old one, hence why I asked for a link. | cyberbub
23/2/2018 13:00 | Bones- you may be right. However comments statements are ‘products of their time’ it’s important that the date is referenced in such repeat statements. | smcl
23/2/2018 12:24 | Smcl, it is absolutely still relevant. Remember that since 2015, the company's management, which is a small concentration of key people, were totally bogged down in fighting the Maguire case, in order to protect the heart valve IP, plus the money was running low at that time. They needed to raise an emergency loan from some supportive shareholders (at an eye-watering price!) to see the litigation through. Now, it is settled, I am guessing under terms where things can move forward with the heart valve seeing as that was the gold that the parties were fighting over. Whether that involves something in league with the other party, who knows. All I do know is that AOR are "satisfied" with the outcome of the confidential settlement. | bones
23/2/2018 11:58 | Cyber - its a quote from 2015 - 3 years ago!!!! | smcl
23/2/2018 11:48 | Can you provide a link for that quote, Stig? | cyberbub
23/2/2018 11:21 | News could come from several distinct areas. Not an exhaustive list... Biomerics existing contracts Biomerics new contracts Heart Valve spin off Breast implants licencing The valuation is still a multiples off to account for all the optionality A heart valve spin off alone has capacity to be a $100-200m valuation given valuations of recent startups in the field "Aortech International (LON:AOR, OTCMKTS:AORTF) is mulling the spin off of its heart valve technology arm into a separate business. That will leave it free to focus on the development of its Elast-Eon polymer across a range of other medical products." | the stigologist
23/2/2018 10:31 | When do we think the news will come and what's the expected content stig? | turbotrader2
23/2/2018 09:58 | Some small sellers still leaving the party I see. Close the door on the way out. We don't need your sort here. | investordave
22/2/2018 10:41 | Personally I’m just surprised we haven’t heard a thing from Bill | turbotrader2
22/2/2018 10:32 | It may not be irrelevant, if the old BOD did deals with Biomeric or anyone else for the benefit of others. Part of the settlement may have included the transfer of such arrangements back to AOR. You would be surprised at just how BENT some people are !!! | parsons4
22/2/2018 10:17 | Looks like another tightrope day | coolhandfluke
22/2/2018 09:33 | Irrelevant | the stigologist
22/2/2018 09:13 | Will we get an inkling of what AOR got from the legal settlement? | semper vigilans
22/2/2018 08:45 | Also of course there is a big question as to how much of the IP has been given over to Biomerics in the past. It does seem that previous management have been giving it away. There is no doubt in my mind that difficult negotiations are going on here. Other things may well have come out of the woodwork during the legal dispute with the former directors. Biomerics have been the only winners !!!! | parsons4
22/2/2018 08:17 | Biomerics are spending $30m+ on a New HQ And AOR are central to their business They've made it clear they think vertical integration is important That to my mind is enough to underpin AOR value Would not be surprised if they have made informal approach to take out AOR | the stigologist |
