Lol just because it has been a hundred quid in the past the chart doesn't tell us it will be so again.

The beauty of charts is they don't care about the fundamentals...

Looking forward to this stock gapping up from £5 to £100...

Yes - an earlier poster said that that buy was his. Not a speculative punt as you say imo!

If the munchkin is doing his usual and suggesting that AOR is going to be shorted to 30 - 40p, just ignore him. No organisation is going to lend out any shares in this company to shorters. There aren't enough to go round as it is.

The £100 a share was based on the Company telling everyone that the heart valve would be in human trials in 2002 and it was ‘unlikely not to be successful in the regulatory process.’

That version of the valve failed in sheep and the heart monitor did not work either.

"Devices manufactured from AorTech polymers have numerous US FDA PMA approvals, 510ks, and CE Marks. Elast-Eon™ is approved for long term human implants in all major markets"

By the way at £100 a share the Market Cap of this Company would only be £556m

I would not rule that out

There were no tremendous highs !! I bought in the dotcom/biotech bubble and then it was down in the blink of an eye!! I always hold things and generally every dog has its day - let's hope this dog does too. Today wasn't it though

I can’t understand how you can hold a share for 18(?) years through tremendous highs and hold it all the way down to 10p!?

I am not offended as you can only be offended by something that is said by someone who has a considered view and whose opinion you might have an ounce of interest in.
He will be gone as soon as this current excitement is over. The AOR licence represents a miniscule portion of Biomerics revenue.

spawny - I fully understand that - they only get licence income when they licence it for use on a new product - let's say a breast implant for example. The testing and regulatory hurdles have to be gone through and it takes a long time before that product is on the market and thus generating licence income is all I am saying - I am sure they will get new licences but it will take a fairly long time - even through Biomerics. It has all been good news in the last week - just not in my opinion as good as some people are suggesting.

Harrogate - they are licencing the technology rather than developing new products themselves I understand:

"Our licensees have generated considerable value by utilising Elast-Eon(TM). One example of this is a cardiovascular device that differs only from competing devices by having a thin Elast-Eon(TM) coating. This coating provides the device with superior properties and allows a sales price of many multiples of standard devices. The cost of materials and license fees, however, are less than 5% of the device's sales value.

The value added to licensees is not only greater than licence fees payable, but the value of the licence fees to our customers is significantly more than the market capitalisation of AorTech"

You have to laugh really. I enjoy a contra view it helps in investing. It is a shame not everyone feels the same. I try to give a reasoned view on all my investments and rarely comment but felt I had to post something with the complete and utter ramping drivel that has appeared today. I hope we get to a £1+ as I will do very well but it won't be through licence deals on elasteon - It is all about the heart valve or nothing I think.

Crazy how they managed to keep this below £5m Mkt Cap today.

But as we saw with PYC... the first day is usually just the start

day 2 a mere '100%' consolidation

day 3 is where all the free float is in the hands of the strong hands who understand the potential so MMs have to gap it up... and up... and up...
