30/6/2014 11:10 | It's not a new investor? Existing investor bought 100k and pushed over 5%. | rcturner2
30/6/2014 11:08 | New investor just declared over 5%......interesting. | spekky
25/6/2014 17:37 | Well,at least Investec seem to be adding on the dips (see rns).... | spekky
25/6/2014 13:41 | Taking the rip now! | tailgunner2
25/6/2014 07:53 | Sounds about right. It is not unusual for the holders to delay, but I am surprised that ANP did not publish immediately, that is a bit slack. | rcturner2
24/6/2014 18:03 | Baronsmead reduce by 2% then take 6 days to notify Anpario who then take 7 days to notify the market.........am I reading it correctly ? | spekky
24/6/2014 11:20 | I did sell mine at just under 300p, I felt this had got ahead a bit. Quite a few small companies have been battered recently. Have a look at THAL for example. | rcturner2
24/6/2014 10:34 | As expected some selling based on the £/$ exchange rate impact. Rather foolishly imv as exchange movements come and go. The underlying sales growth is the important factor. Had they stated that they'd had to reduce margins as a result of competition i'd have had some cause for concern but that doesn't seem the case. From a TA perpective if the bearish engulfing candle holds today then i'd expect a further drift down to potential support around 240/250p. ANP seems to have been following the sector index so nothing out of sync there either. Accumulate on weakness for me. Woody | woodcutter
24/6/2014 10:10 | usually when people post about there being a 'good buying opportunity' I dismiss it as a load of guff but on this occasion I find my finger once again hovering over the buy button - just a question of how long I can wait. Up to you of course but this company remains amongst my favourites. | nivison
24/6/2014 09:50 | People are so fickle...... Everything else is looking peachy, even hinting at strong half year...... But no.... Got to hit us over $ £ thing...... Even tho that will change very soon no doubt | tailgunner2
24/6/2014 08:33 | Cash up by 700k and commencing large trials, looks good to me but seems as though the exchange rate comment has put a damper on it. Investors should look at the term "vertical integration" in the USA poultry industry to appreciate what those trials could achieve for Anpario.....I've said it before but I honestly believe Merck are driving this in the states... | spekky
24/6/2014 08:22 | good trading statement imv. Looks like they're having to run to stand still at present but the £/$ exchange rate will most likely be a translational accounting issue. When the £ weakens again, which it will do, the eps will make ANP look very undervalued. The underlying business is very strong and accumulate on any share price weakness imv. I noticed BMK released results today, thought they looked overcomplicated seemed to me like they were guilding the lilly a bit. If they can deliver similar to ANP would be worth an investment but need to demonstrate sustainable profits first. Woody | woodcutter
13/6/2014 17:27 | Not share price movement I had in mind....... What's going on??? | tailgunner2
12/6/2014 07:49 | Spekky - you might be right but I am not so sure. 1 million shares is 5% of the company or thereabouts. If there was a new buyer out there then we should have an RNS once they go through the 3% barrier. As yet we haven't seen anything. There isn't much share price movement either, and you would expect some with buys of this size. So I think it is just one existing large insti taking some profits and another seeing an opportunity to increase. Just my opinion. ANP incidentally is my single largest holding and I have these in my SIPP and my ISA for the long term. I would like to see the company continue to expand and mature its position with a 'steady as she goes' approach. I think it's too early in he company history for any fireworks although they may occur further down the line. | nivison
11/6/2014 21:28 | See similar discussion 10/4/14 when ISIS was the seller of 600k,now another 400k gone too......we will get a sell rns soon but we won't get a buy rns....it is being bought by a China/USA company......IMHO... | spekky
11/6/2014 17:16 | maybe you are right. 400,000 shares traded at 8:37 this morning and no RNS. | nivison
11/6/2014 09:28 | Must be share transfers surely? | pj 1
11/6/2014 09:24 | I bet we will only see an rns on the sell side though. | spekky
11/6/2014 09:13 | someones just paid £3 for 285,000 shares. Big chunk following on from yesterdays big chunks. I make that 465,000 shares in three trades over two days. 2.3% of the company. | nivison
10/6/2014 14:31 | It may well have been tipped somewhere. The volume has been substantially increased by the two large purchases, of 90,000 shares each, at 300p. | truffle
10/6/2014 13:46 | Yes,started just after 11 o'clock, not your average punter but not sure what's got them nibbling...... | spekky
10/6/2014 13:40 | Sudden volume | pj 1
30/5/2014 14:38 | woodcutter Back in Feb (post 600) I mentioned the PEDv virus and your right,it's difficult to assess it in relation to Anpario. I think part of the answer is that we are not yet sufficiently exposed to China for it to have any material effect. In USA zero exposure as we are beginning with the poultry industry.PEDv originated in Asia where our sales have gone ballistic so perhaps there could even be some positives.......is it making Asian farmers focus on biosecurity products because it's not treatable with antibiotics. | spekky
30/5/2014 13:17 | I see GNS have been experiencing a few difficulties in the pig population. ANP Still one of my largest holdings but uncertain on impact of this type of news. BMK is high on my watch list but it's massively overpriced. Similar company to ANP but end product is fish. Their results are due 24th June IMS wasn't particuarly detailed, no figures, creates uncertainty imv. Woody | woodcutter
28/5/2014 10:56 | Any of you looked at BMK, another of SCSW tips. Seems nice little niche co. like Anpario. I haven't bought but am thinking about it. Results due end June | ayl30 |
